Not sure how unsolicited ridicule of my name is relevant, but thanks for the contribution. Hope you showed a little more maturity in your interview..

How common is solicited ridicule?

I believe that falcinator was intending it to read Got-2-Ban-Us, hinting that your account was a possible prank account. Yours was one of a couple posts made by accounts with only one post each, so I think it was reasonable thing to think for someone in falcinator's shoes.

Haha, i thought it was got 2 b and then the rest

I apologize for any offense taken....it just seemed odd that two accounts with 1 post popped up at the same time.

I hope we get some decisions next week! I'm slowly descending into insanity waiting...

Just read through this part of last year's thread. Outside of one big acceptance day at the end of February, I don't think we should expect any news whatsoever until the 31st. And then all plan on waitlists.

I did the exact same thing last night.... I'm terrified of the day I refresh this page and see a bunch of acceptances while my email inbox stays empty

It's like you're reading my mind...

I'm literally in shock as I type this -- accepted via email a few minutes ago. At the risk of sounding trite, it actually is the best feeling ever! IS, interviewed 11/17. Good luck to everybody still waiting!

Congrats, guys. Anybody up to volunteering stats/ranges? Looks like this might be the last major acceptance day given that y'all interviewed months apart from each other.

Congrats! If it is, I hope they are still sending some emails, haven't gotten anything yet!

Accepted! Interviewed 2/15. IS 31Q, 3.5ish Overall GPA, Non-Trad. Congrats to anyone else out there and good luck to everyone still waiting to hear.

3.5 (cum and sci), 35Q, non-trad as well (graduated from law school in 2010).

And the news released on March 31st include acceptances, right? I hope not just waitlists and rejections...

Nobody on SDN got anything other than a waitlist or rejection, unless I missed any. Not necessarily reflective of the entire class though.

Definitely makes me much less optimistic for those of us that don't hear good news today though.

Edit, confirmed by poster MLax27 on 3/30/2012: "For all of you who are waiting to get an email from CU I called the admissions office, they're sending batches in waves so that they're not received as spam. Don't worry quite yet if you haven't received an email. Also was told no acceptances sent out today so just looks like waitlists and possibly rejections..."

Great! Thanks for the info! :xf:

Acceptance by email around 11:45am. I am out of state and interviewed on 1/26. GPA > 3.9, MCAT > 35! Hang in there guys and gals.

Same here...:bang:

There are a lot of people on this thread right now. I'm guessing you (we) are in good company.

Keep your heads up! Most schools need to accept about twice the number their enrollment capacity. This means that CU will potentially be sending out ~320 acceptances before the class is filled. As much as many of us are freaking out (myself included), there is still plenty of time.

It's just hard to see CU pulling away from their pattern from the last two years, both of which indicate that they may have already given out those ~300 spots by now. I hope I'm wrong. Just tired of fooling myself into expecting the best.

I feel like there would have been more decisions given out if this was really the "big day".......

I saw a lot more people jumping for joy today than I saw earlier in the cycle, when a person or maybe two had said they'd received their acceptance. SDN only represents a subset of the applicant pool, so we've only seen a subset of the acceptances, I fear.

Of course, I hope I'm wrong.

A HUGE congratulations to those that were accepted today!! :highfive:

I can't wait to meet what's sure to be an awesome group of MS1s!!!😀

And to everyone waiting, lots of luck!!!:luck::luck::luck:

Called the admissions office, they said they will be sending out acceptances over the next couple of weeks. Sit tight guys, all hope is not lost

You have no idea how much I hope that you're right

I was really really upset until I read this. Even if it doesn't turn out to be true, you gave me the will to wait another month to find out my fate. Seriously, thank you!

+1!!!!

Accepted. Interviewed 12/7/2011--> rejected late March-->interviewed 12/7/2012--> accepted today.
IS, GPA<3.2, MCAT 38, >5 years patient care experience, non-trad(in case that wasn't obvious)

I feel very honored, for a number of reasons, to have the chance to study at this school. For those waiting to hear something, please take my advice: get off of SDN before you go insane. After almost two years of this, please believe I feel your pain. Best thing you can do for yourself is go out and share some of your good right now with the world. You'll hear something one way or another. Then, it will either hurt less or feel even better, so it's win/win. I hope I don't seem self-righteous there, but it seemed like a good place for me to put my two cents.

Good luck, all! And thanks to all you supportive posters out there. I've appreciated your encouragement at times.

honestly i love the advice of not checking these forums. it drives me crazy, but it's just so hard not to check once i know it exists. i wish i could just erase this site from my memory sometimes. im gonna try and stop coming here i think. wish me luck.

ps congrats on your acceptance!!

Congratulations to everyone who was accepted yesterday. I, too, wish I could stop looking on here and making myself insane, especially when there's TCA cycle enzymes that aren't going to memorize themselves by tomorrow.

(Man, I wanna go to med school with Tyrion "Hear Me Roar" Lannister! 😉)

They said that about 50 acceptances went out in this wave and that they'll continue sending out acceptances until the end of March. I don't know when the waves will happen. I remember last year there was a lot of movement off the wait list in April and May (not that I was on it), and I'd expect the same this year.
