I know that if you get accepted at UK, you usually get a call from one of the interviewers to inform you of your acceptance. Does anyone know if UofL usually calls, emails, or sends something through snail-mail to inform you of your acceptance?

It's an email, regardless of the decision.

Yeah, and I get the feeling that they are going to be taking their time! Every time they send out updates it seems to be later and later in the day. I wonder if they enjoy it? haha

Anyone hear anything yet? I'm betting the best I could hope for would be WL. 🙁

Curious, what day did you interview? Also, stats/gpa?

And got the no decision email once again. >:|

"The University of Louisville School of Medicine Admissions Committee met on Tuesday, February 12. There was no decision made on your file at that meeting. We have begun the process of making wait list selection decisions. All remaining interviewed candidates including those previously placed on hold, are under wait list consideration and will be notified of their admissions decision no later than the Wednesday following the March 26 committee meeting. That said if we have appropriate movement by those holding multiple offers, we have the latitude of making additional admissions offers.

Candidates invited to hold wait list positions will have the option to decline wait list consideration and withdraw their applications. The candidates that accept wait list consideration will be ranked during the month of April and informed of their rank by May 10. Candidates are notified of their rank by the following indications: top third, middle third or bottom third of the listing. Kentucky residents and out of state candidates are placed on separate wait list."

So basically they're saying we will either be placed on the wait list or declined? Since there is a very low chance of acceptance offers now.

Same here, I will be considered for the wait list.

That's what I am thinking. U of L seems to be the only school that drags its interviewees along for a ride like this. I have been waiting on a response since November and I know some of the other people on here even longer...

Yup, been waiting since mid-october here...

I would really like to know if Louisville has actually rejected people post interview. It would really suck to have to wait until March 26 only for a rejection.

Seriously, especially after waiting for months...

got the same no decision email. so many questions... are they still meeting two weeks from now and twice in march? or just march 26 (or is that just the last meeting that's why they mentioned it in our email)? and about the statement regarding possibly making more offers if people withdraw multiple acceptances... I doubt this will happen because people with multiple acceptances most likely wait until the deadline- may 15th- which isn't good for the rest of us.. so hopefully anyone who isn't going to attend U of L withdraws sooner.

I know what you mean. I am starting to think UofL hasn't rejected anyone post interview. I personally know two people that interviewed and haven't received a decision yet, and thats not including myself or other people on here.

I feel your pain 🙁 I interviewed in September and have been on hold ever since. This wait is killing me softly. Will people really wait until the deadline you think? Don't they have to give their decision within two weeks? I thought I remember them saying that at the interview. But yea, I really hope these people with multiple acceptances think of us and make their decision quicker.... 🙁 And has anyone called them about how often they will be meeting from now on or anything?

As far as how often they are meeting, just assume you will not hear anything until March 27th. That is when most people will know they made the wait list.

After that, we get to wait until May 10th to find out which tier.

I called and the committee will still be meeting the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. However, I'm not sure if they'll still keep updating us on our status. Again, I wouldn't expect anything until the end of March.

Ugh, I still think we're the only people on this forum on hold... :/ I'm there with you, I really hope we make it to the wait list.

I'm more curious if they even reject people pre-interview...OOS here who hasn't heard anything for months and months.

I would bet the wait list moves a lot, even for in state people. I know a lot of instate people holding acceptances at UK and UofL, who are waiting for financial information to make decisions.

Also does anyone know about the Lofts on Boradway? I'm wondering if its worth the money, since I want to live close to campus.

I do think most people with multiple offers wait until may to withdraw other offers. with that said, I HOPE that some of them make their decision sooner and notify U of L so that they can have "the latitude to make further acceptance offers" let's keep our fingers crossed!!

I woke up sick this morning and couldn't make it to the preorientation today. If anyone here goes, post a quick summary of some of the stuff they went over for the people who couldn't make it. It would be really helpful!

Really enjoyed today! Can anyone discuss how UofL's second look was compared to UK? What way are you leaning now?

Did anyone discover new housing info at pre-orientation? I heard people speaking of nice areas, but no specific rental complexes.

I interviewed at UofL this week. From what they said, they do not reject people post interview until the last meeting (March 26). They only send out acceptances after the committee meets each time. They are beginning to make the wait lists of about 50-60. There is more movement off the OOS wait list than IS.

do we think they will send a Wednesday email after next week's meeting or not?

I think some of us might get a waitlist email or nothing at all.

50-60 people in each of the IS and OOS waitlists? Or is it 50-60 people in both the IS and OOS waitlists?

I heard that they do reject post interview throughout the cycle... I'm not sure if that's correct though.. 🙂

This is so frightening!!! Here we go.

From previous years it seems like its 50-60 people between both IS and OOS waitlists. I am keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrows meeting goes well for me and everyone else on here who has been waiting a while to hear about their admissions decision.

Withdrew my acceptance today. Hope this helps a worry-bee out there somewhere! Best of luck to all!

Rejected. Just got the email. After 4 months of being told nothing. This is so frustrating...

I'm sorry, Mbho222! That sucks. I've still yet to get an email from them today so I'm probably in the same boat.

And the wait continues... another we haven't made a decision on your file email.
