Haha ok I was just curious. Mostly looking for a reason to be as optimistic as I hoped you were 🙂
 
My interview is coming up soon and I am finally answering the pre-interview questions. For the extracurricular/volunteer activities did you all really just list the activities? I wasn't trying to write a lot but I literally could only write "one of my most significant activities was my position as x on y" which already took up 20 words. I know it's supposed to leave room for conversation during the interview but I just wanted to hear from others who have already answered/interviewed.

I just listed the activity. I don't think you're supposed to describe the activity in any way. They're just a guideline for your interviewer as the interview is closed file. That being said, good luck on your interview! Don't stress out; it was a very relaxing and comfortable environment.
 
Interview invite today!! Hurray!! I scheduled it for January 17...yikes! They must be really booked! Complete 7/18

Well I just found out I was refreshing my mail box needlessly because my wait-list email was in my spam box as early as yesterday morning. I don't know what I have to do anymore. Definetly the lowest point of the cycle for me.

I hear you man. We have similar stats and I was praying for some good news. Just remember they accept a lot of applicants off the wait list and hopefully everything works out for the best.

Thanks for the kind words. I felt like I would be a great fit here but I guess they felt otherwise. At least the wait list email didn't insult my intelligence and start with a 'congratulations' like Temple's did. Best of luck to you.

Similar situation here.. Rejected today, 2 holds no IIs.

Actually does anyone have any good info on LOIs? I haven't found any good resources on them at all

They told me that they accept update letters, so I would assume they also accept LOIs.
 
Reeeeejected pre interview. This process is so weird, I just dot get it. I really loved this school. I have received IIs to schools I consider major reach schools and schools I'm above the median, but schools like Rochester that I'm at the median I'm not even getting interviews. For those interested in my stats, they are basically the Rochester matriculant median. I'm also in state, not that it matters though. 😳

Joining in the party--rejected pre-interview this morning. Was complete ~9/12 I think. Just wish I could have had some good news for once this cycle...and I actually liked this school a lot... 🙁

Edit--After re-reading the rejection email, I do wish that they had put my name in there somewhere. Most schools at least have some sort of auto-filler program so it feels like they sent it to you personally rather than the batch of rejects. Still better than Cooper Rowan's letter though!

...Oh god, I am getting to be a bit of a rejection letter snob--if you want to reject me, you had better do it right 😉

Rejected today as well. So many strong applicants dying, I wonder what they're looking for?

It's a shame though, I was really hoping to spend some time in NY. 🙁 Good luck to the rest of you!! :luck:

9/13 but I think I was rejected some time ago, seeing as they sent it as part of a huge mass execution.

I liked this school too. It has research opportunities that I am interested in. I did appreciate the nice e-mail though. Makes me feel a hell of a lot better about being rejected. I think I was complete 10/2 but you can check my mdapps page.
 
I am so thankful that I survived this slaughter! This is by far my top choice! Good luck to everyone who was rejected today, I am sure you guys will all get into great places with those amazing stats!
 
I was wondering if anyone knows how they evaluate the group discussion or whether it is even part of the admissions decision. Thanks....
