Interview invite today! Date is set for late November.
 
If I was a betting man I would guess UTH will start sending OOS offers Nov 15 ala UTSW

Application transmitted July 27 and MCAT score received Sept. 6 by schools.
Stats: Instate with low 30's MCAT score and 3.8 GPA

Thanks! Hope is not lost....plenty of interviews left for late November and the month of December! If you guys have similar stats......interviews should be coming.

I interviewed 10/19. UTH is in my rankings list - today was the first day I checked so maybe it's up for you now as well.
 
Figured I'd finally join up and post since I've been reading the forums so much in this crazy waiting game....

Just got an interview invite for Dec 7th, though unfortunately it conflicts with my UTMB interview so hopefully they can figure something out

App transmitted late August but MCAT not sent til Sept 26.

Non-trad, 3.8, 35Q

Just interviewed today. It was an amazing experience and I really hope to get accepted. I interviewed with two people and for the most part the interviews were relaxed. However, I did hear anecdotal evidence of one interviewee who got nailed with some difficult questions, though this seems to be an aberration from what I can tell. They really go out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable here. Again, it was a great experience.
 
About how many people are interviewed on each interview day?

There were a lot of people there for interviews. If I had to put a number on it I'd say 75-80. Yeah... that many. They split us up and had half interview in the morning and half in the evening. I was lucky enough to have the first interview times in the morning.

Wow!! :wow: I was expecting a lot but not that many!
 
A staff member told me that there are usually 50-60 students at each interview day.

They only interview once a week on Fridays so don't feel overwhelmed or intimidated, the large interview cohort is a product of once weekly interviews.

There were certainly more than 60. That is for sure. However, this may not be the norm as I have only interviewed there once 😉 Also several ms2's commented that there were a lot of interviewees this time.

Agreed Very jealous but congratulations. I interviewed 9/14 and November 15th cannot get here quick enough for us IS applicants.

I was confirmed 8/06. So long ago, I thought they had passed me up! Keep up hope, yall! They interview into early January & I got an early December spot.

3.7ish sgpa a bit lower, >32, IS, non-trad verified bout mid August.

Accepted yesterday! So amazingly surprised and grateful. 😀 I interviewed 9/28, OOS. So very happy. It was definitely my number 1 so far! Good luck to everyone else who is interviewing. It is an amazing campus and I think you'll all enjoy it a lot. If I end up attending here I'll be beyond happy. 🙂
 
Only a week left before pre-match offers come out! I'm so anxious.

You have a chance as long as there's time between your interview date and the deadline. They could decide to make you an offer on the same day as your interview if they liked you that much.

But if they don't offer you one, don't think they're not interested or that you don't have a chance.

I know I am pushing it, but any possibility of a pre-match if I interviewed Nov. 9? 😳

Sure, it happens. Not frequently, but it happens.

Everyone has an equal chance assuming they discuss your interview before the pre-match offer deadline is reached.
 
How come there aren't more people on here talking about pre-match offers? When are they going to let us know? 🙁

So I logged on to TMDSAS and UT Houston is listed as one of my schools to rank.... Are they not sending out acceptances via email?

Just realized that just because I can rank the school doesn't mean they offered me a spot pre-match. Is this simply for the actual match? I'm so impatient. :S

Congratulations to all of the acceptances so far.

For those without an acceptance, UT-H is pretty big on sending acceptances through the match and we have a HUGE waitlist movement once Baylor sends out all of its acceptances. I'm sure 40-50 were accepted after May last year.

Keep your heads up and don't spend all of winter break last year worrying. Trust me.
