I submitted my secondary on 8/10, and checking my status today I saw that the text had changed. I thought they'd finally processed me! But turns out they just reformatted the same old "wait 6-8 weeks" message, adding some line breaks just to taunt me. Please let me know something, UVM. I love you so much!

Yes that's correct. AMCAS won't let any medical school officially tell students they've been accepted/rejected after an interview (but of course they're still allowed to reject pre-interview) until October 15th, which is also the application deadline for many schools.

That's right, I just double checked myself. I forgot about AMCAS traffic rules... four more days then!!!

Seems like someone heard my plea. I was finally small pooled this weekend, submitted 8/10. Fingers crossed for further good news!

Hopefully I'm only a few days away from the small pool status :/ I submitted on 8/15 (8 weeks ago, ugh) and I've checked the status page a million times!

Got accepted at 2 different schools today, so I'm withdrawing from my November 1st interview. Hope one of you gets it!
 
II today for 11/27! Hurray! Really excited to visit here as I am a NH resident 🙂 Anyone else?

EDIT: I saw vbgal41's post and tried to change it but now the 1st is full! Im on Tuesday the 6th now!

Advice, anyone? I think I was complete as of 9/5 when my MCAT score came in... I called this past week and their voicemail said that admissions staff could not give status updates over the phone? 😕

But everyone is saying they're so friendly about calling regarding statuses, I'm wondering what I should do. Should I call anyway? Or perhaps email them to check and make sure everything is in order? I've had the "6-8 weeks" status since they received my secondary on 8/6.

I love, love, love this school and they are one of the last schools to get back to me regarding my app being complete/under review.😕

I submitted mid-august and haven't heard anything yet. Would it be a good idea to send a note talking about how it is my top choice and what I have been up to since I graduated in May?

Same situation. I called the admissions office and they said they are a bit slow this year. I was considering submitting a LOI but my gpa/MCAT is around everyone else's who has gotten invited to interview, so I think I'm going to wait a little longer in hopes that they are just slow. Ugh, this 6-8 weeks status is killing me though...it's been longer than 8 weeks!

Most of us were complete in mid-August and haven't heard anything. You've got a ways to go, grasshopper.

Safe to assume that this is the online applicant center status to see after you've been committee reviewed? I interviewed 9/18 and my status is:

"We hope that you enjoyed your interview at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and that you were able to learn more about our school, curriculum and life in Burlington. Your file will now be reviewed by the Admissions Committee and you will be notified in the coming weeks regarding the final decision of the committee. "

I'm guessing this means I'm still in the queue and can relax a bit more. Thoughts?

OOS complete 8/6/12 and small pooled late Sept.

I'm so excited! Just can't hide it!

The school seems great. Only debilitating factor is the heavy OOS tuition.
 
Sent in a LOI today...hopefully that will get rid of the 6-8 weeks status! Anyone else complete mid-August with any new info on your status page?
 
Anyone with sub 30 MCAT and GPA around 3.6 get an interview? Also, how long after submitting verified primary did you receive the supplemental? Thanks!

Yeah, I had a 29Q and 3.62GPA. Although, I may not be the most representative of the group because I am a Vermont resident.

Have you received any update yet? i've had this status for a long time now, just wondering when they are finally going to make a decision about us. This is obvi. post interview status
 
I interviewed on 9/6 which I think was the first interview day so I'm definitely getting a little anxious here
 
I couldn't help myself and asked about post-interview decisions. "The online applicant center should be updated in the next couple of weeks." :scared: That timeframe really doesn't help my neuroticism. 😳
 
just got an interview! might be turning it down, but still feels good. the date they gave was 12/4
 
I wish UVM would send me an interview invite. I've sent them like, three letters of interest already. Maybe they think I'm too eager. 😳

seriously - I've been small pooled since mid August, sent several love letters, and still my interest is unrequited. I guess they're just not that in to me.

and to anyone wondering, I did send a LOI about 2 months ago but haven't done anything since then. i'll let you all know if I turn it down so hopefully one of you can get the spot 🙂

edit: I'm not in a swing state, but we've got some tight local elections.

It's pretty easy to reschedule. Just send an email.

On the other hand, can you mail in your ballot?

I interviewed on 9-11, thought we would have heard something by now. But then again I guess it doesn't really matter right? because I heard most OOS get wait-listed right off the bat anyways :/

Weeks????? Oh, man... they weren't kidding about waiting until November. Gonna keep writing those LOI's, then...
 
Just curious, guys - what percentage of the pool will ultimately get II's?
