CONGRATULATIONS!

When was your interview?
And do you go to the Application Status tab on the application portal?

Thank you!

I interviewed October 9th, but my Dean's Cert got there late... so I don't think I was under review until around Thanksgiving. If anyone else made that mistake, there is hope. 😳

It appears as a big notification as soon as you log in, not in the status tab. And like others said, it pretty much is a big sign that says "pay $100".

Congrats! Would you mind sharing how did you find the interview? It's my first one and I don't really know what to expect from WUSTL

It was laid back and relaxed. Definitely conversational, I don't think we even talked about medicine or science for the first 30 minutes.

Thank you!

What aiwe said.

Has anyone who interviewed in November heard anything? Interviewed mid-November and was hopeful for the mid-December round of acceptances. But nothing....

my status is "complete"

is there another status that says under review or anything before they send out any type of decision (like interview or rejected?)

Offered a full tuition scholarship via phone call today! 😀

anybody have any idea when washu interviews until/send out their last interview invites? are their still spots for interviews left? still holding onto that sliver of hope...

I just received an interview invite! 😱

I'm stunned (in an excited, super duper happy sort of way). The calendar showed available dates in late January and I didn't see anything in February.

Complete 8/15. There's still hope for other people waiting! :luck:

Just got an interview invite today! (Two of my friends did as well.)

I was accepted to WashU back in November and I am becoming more and more excited about the school, especially seeing so many others on here who are also getting accepted! Congratulations all!

Still wondering if any November interviewees have been accepted....
And what's the estimate for the next round of acceptances? January 12?19?

I'd say probably closer to the 19th, or even the 26th? Because of the holidays.

Can anyone help me with the interview schedule? I just got the interview itinerary today and found that my interviewer is a finacial aid lady. I remember seeing that students either get a doctor as interviewer or a doctor+a finacial aid officer.
Is it normal for me to get such an interview?

Yo. so the way I understand it is that most people get one interview with a faculty member or a financial aid person. something like 30% of people will have a second interview, but that interview is just a tool for the interviewers to make sure that they are on the same page question wise. (ie. one of the interviews doesn't count).

As far as who interviews you specifically, i guess that varies. I know that I was interviewed by a dean.

don't worry about it, though. It was a really relaxed day/interview.

good luck!

I am interviewing here next week. My flight out of STL is at 4:30, will I be able to make it? The email says the interview will end around 3PM. Can anyone suggest the fastest way to get to the airport?

I feel like after lunch we were pretty much done for the day. Maybe someone else can confirm this but I think we were finished around 2pm. I took the light rail system (red line) which is right there at the campus and I think it took about 20-25 minutes for me to be at my desired terminal.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks for your response. Now I don't worry anymore🙂

I know Wash U is traditionally known for emphasizing numbers and statistics, but does anyone know how important they were considered after being offered an interview? I know some schools subscribe to the "equal footing" idea after interviews but I was unsure if (but hoping) Wash U was the same way.

I think they said they look comprehensively at the entire application again after interviews. I'd assume that means numbers too since they did not mention an "equal footing" idea. Who knows though.

I doubt they would invite anyone that they didn't think had a chance...

ACCEPTED (!!!!) just now by this amazing school!!

I can hardly believe it. My ability to focus on work for the rest of today (for the rest of this week?) = completely shot. 😛

Interviewed November 19th.

Interviewed November 19th.

Congratulations! That's awesome!

Looks like acceptances will be going out at midnight (central time) on the 12th! Good luck to everybody waiting to hear back post-interview. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed

which schools believe in "equal footing"?

Sounds like a bad idea unless their interview invite criteria are extremely selective or their interview process is absurdly intense and informative. I don't think either of those conditions applies to washu, but I'm speaking out of my ass (i.e. have no insider information).

I think Pritzker is the only one (of the schools that I have attended interviews at) that has said this explicitly. Not sure if any other school practices this.

plausible. my pritzker interviewers didn't seem to believe that I would be willing to come to the midwest. then I got 'continued'. look where I am now!

II about an hour ago! Unexpected as I was complete late August/early September.

no change for me...mid-November interview.
