Does anyone know whether there's been any waitlist movement here yet?

just got accepted from the waitlist, interviewed in early december and waitlisted sometime in january

Accepted from the waitlist. Will withdraw though. Goodluck to the rest of you all still waiting to hear back!

Do you guys mind posting what time you heard back and whether it was via email or phone? Thanks!

Was accepted off waitlist but declined the spot, hope it goes to one of you guys that are still waiting!

Accepted off the waitlist this morning!! My first MD acceptance - Could not be more excited!!

Is there a fb group?

Has anyone gotten their admissions deposit back after withdrawing yet? It has been months and several emails to school for me and I am unable to get my money back.

does anyone know if quinnipiac has on-campus housing? like any dorms for medical student? or is it just all off-campus?

there is no off campus housing - everyone has to find their own housing. If you were accepted, you should join the 2018 FB page

Did anybody that was accepted put something other than primary care for the secondary essay question about which medical specialty you are interested in? I'm more interested in specializing, but I also wanna write the correct thing to give myself a shot

Do applicants really answer questions based on what they think admissions wants to hear? Personally I think its a bad idea.

No, applicants should not. But if this school truly only wants primary care physicians, I don't want to donate 85 dollars when I don't have much money to spend in the first place.

I was just hoping to hear some success stories of people that wrote about other specialties.

I mentioned I was still deciding and that primary care was an option. Received an ii, discussed it in my interview, and was eventually accepted.

Congrats to everyone that got accepted! I just want to ask you folks, what kinds of students QU-SOM is looking for with stats/EC's? I'm an undergrad here who's just starting my app cycle for 2014-2015 and hoping that they give their UG's some love :xf:

I did.

Here's my theory on this issue in general: Everyone (or most people) are trying to present themselves as what medical schools want to see. That makes for really boring, homogeneous applications. You don't want to be a dime a dozen. Writing about what you are considering and why will be much more interesting and stick with the admissions committee much more than just delivering what you think is the company line.

I wrote about being interested in orthopaedics/sports medicine, which is a natural extension of my reason for wanting to become a physician as I wrote about in my personal statement. I'll also echo what mostlyaccurate said, you don't want to be some cookie-cutter looking to write what you think the school wants to hear. Just be honest and talk about why you are interested in specializing.

I didn't get the feeling that the school was pushing to train primary care physicians at my interview and if I recall correctly, the students we talked to also were looking to specialize. The interview was really chill, and they didn't ask too many questions that couldn't be gleaned straight from my primary/secondary apps.

In case anyone is still hoping for a seat, I just got my acceptance letter today! Such a relief!

Hi you guys - I'm applying to Netter this cycle and have my interview this month. Would anyone mind sharing their interview experience? Thanks 🙂

Has anybody else only taken 1 semester of college mathematics? That is the typical requirement but at Quin it is 2 semesters, I am trying to figure out a way to make this work. They say no online courses are accepted
