Nope. It says on my portal that the II email was sent on 10/31, but I have still not received anything. I have it scheduled though; only date available was in January.

congratulations...you have given me hope...I have been completed since 8/19 and have not heard yet, so here is to hoping. Good luck in your interview!

Received the "official" II via email today.
 
What does on hold for an interview mean? Does this mean that all interview spots are taken and that if anyone dropped out, it would go to someone on that list?

Also, along similar lines, are chances of getting an interview better for someone who hasn't heard anything after the secondary (my situation) or for someone who is on hold for an interview?

I completed my secondary on 10/27 and was invited for an interview on 11/8. However, there are no interview dates available in the drop down menu.
Is this the case for everyone else?

Play around the schedule, switch to later months and back. Eventually an interview date will pop up and you should grab it right away 🙂

This happened to me too and then the next day there were 3 dates added.
 
Thanks guys, I saw the next available date was January 24th, so I hopped on it! Congrats to everyone that has
been already admitted to the school.
 
I was told recently that Davis employs an internal numbers screen AFTER the secondary screen. They don't read applications that don't pass the numbers screen until the very end (if at all).

If this is true (and it may NOT be), that is shameful, and deceitful honestly. 🙁

Likely untrue. I have a 7 on Verbal.

But that's not the only type of numbers screen schools employ. The UCs are pretty forthcoming with the fact that they only screen the total MCAT score, NOT subsections.

I do hope its not true, it seems really messed up

I doubt it though... I have IS status. My MCAT is above 35, GPA above 3.9, good ECs and LOR but UCLA + UCSF did not even give me secondaries. So there might be a difference in the screening process at Davis 🙂

Haha and the Dean of Admissions of UCSF specifically told me during one of their workshops that my 7 was good enough bla bla. Totally BS.

On another note, I waited more than 2 months for an II from Davis. My app might have been put on the second look pile... So there's hope if your wait is still under 2 months 😛

LOL who knows how they actually work, or who to really believe.

I'm a smidge under two months, so here's to hoping! I'd love to join you folks over at Davis.

II!!! Received an email at 2am!

No current interviews slots open, they said I have to wait until they update them.

can someone explain what to expect to change on the status page? Like for many of us it just says secondary complete. If invited or rejected will it reflect that? Thanks! Tired of waiting on that email.+pissed+
 
It looks like the last acceptances came out a few weeks ago for the 10/18 group. Has anyone else heard back since then?

It reflected the interview invitation, but I think an email came first.
