Also, no one with an acceptance reported being interviewed during your interview date, so maybe they didn't get to that batch yet!

I sure hope so. I just worry that sdn is a small sample size. Thank you for the emotional support. This uncertainty is expected, but difficult nonetheless. See you in Fall ; )

I interviewed on 9/27 as well and waiting nervously. Do you remember anything they said about when to expect a response? The interview packet says between Oct 15 and within six weeks of interview but does that apply to all who interviewed before Oct 15?

So then maybe we are ok and just haven't been reviewed yet? I remember them saying between 4-6 weeks but it looks like Davis can string you along into March or beyond.

Just got the secondary, this is absolutely amazing especially as a reapplicant. I didn't even get the secondary last time. Better app season already 😍
 
Accepted to my dream school UCD!!!! Got an email at 2 pm from Dr. Henderson.

Congratulations! So it was an email and not a phone call? Anybody else got an accept email or phone call from UC Davis?

I was there that day and specifically remember those dates as well. Didn't hear back either, but really hoping we both end up there.

Well no one has posted in here saying they've been waitlisted, so it's possible no one whose been waitlisted has been informed yet.

Did anyone in last years thread mention specifically they received an email telling them they've been waitlisted?

No phone call just email which is awesome! Thank you everyone! I applied four years ago and was rejected so this means that much more. I'm finally done!!

After my interview I felt eh but I knew at minimum I had maintained a supportive attitude. Essentially I treated others how I wanted to be treated. I was focused on providing others with positive reinforcement and enhancing the team environment. I know it's vague but we sign a confidentiality form. Best of luck to everyone!
 
Lol yeah. I know it is hard to explain without spilling confidential information. I felt good after the interview. I thought of better things to say in a couple of stations but I still think it wasn't horrible. I am just hoping that feeling good about it means there is a chance of acceptance lol. I would love to get into Davis.
 
Do you guys think the discussion with the dean matters at all in our admission fates?

I felt he didn't really care to talk to me. He hardly asked me anything and focused mostly on one person. I got in so I guess it must not count for much.

The reason I asked was because I had an interesting conversation with him so I was just hoping it could count as a plus 😛
 
Anyone that interviewed 10/11 has heard anything? I am getting nervous.

Has anyone done any research from past threads on how likely it is to get off the "interview waitlist" and get an interview invite? I suppose UC Davis is not receptive to update letters pre-interview but after being put on "interview waitlist"?

10/11 interviewer here, UC Davis is my number 1 civilian school. I do not think there is a single school that I would choose over this school, their emphasis on philanthropy coincides so closely with my goals, but, at this point everyone who has interviewed is qualified, whether or not we get accepted is based off if they think we are a good fit for their school. If I am deemed unworthy, it will hurt, but I will take it as a sign. I am praying. Good luck to everyone who has received an acceptance!!!

Virtual HIGH FIVE dude. I have a feeling we interviewed on the same day (10/11)

Edit: Oh my mind must went blank for a second. You actually did as you mentioned above.
 
I know one other girl from the 10/11 interview who got accepted, so between genes and pdel, that girl, thats 3. 100/500 get accepted, thats 4/20, 3 of these 20 for the 10/11 interview have now been accounted for, I'm guessing the 4th isnt a poster. I am so nervous and speculating HARD, can someone tell me I'm wrong and that they might still accept us 10/11 interviewees ...is there still hope?

Interesting logic but does not explain only 3 accepts reported last week which must have included 8 weeks worth of interviews starting Aug 9 through Sept 27th. that is 160 candidates. I happen to be one of them. The pattern of acceptances appears to be different from last two years when they did have a big first wave of acceptances with 10+ acceptances during the week of Oct 15th for the 7-8 batches they interview by Sept end.

So my read is that they may be using a different acceptance criteria this year. At any rate, they sure are pretty good at building our anxiety, however inadvertently.

You may find this silly, but now that I have read this, I am able to study without re-reading every sentence because I was thinking about Davis. I completely forgot about all the interviews prior to my date. I like your logic better than mine!
 
so far have people only received acceptances on Friday?
 
Congrats to the 10/11's who were accepted! Unfortunately there was no news for me today. Trying to remain hopeful about my top choice!

Congrats to those accepted! Aww I didn't get a call or email. Don't they accept more than 105 even though that's the class size?

I believe the general estimate is that schools accept double the alloted seats, then accept off the waitlist depending on how many are leftover

The chances are not bad at all! I know several people who attend UCD and were pulled off of the waitlist

I know the post-interview Davis waitlist moves a lot. But where they pulled from the INTERVIEW waitlist and then given an interview?
