Interviews do start sometime in October though, according to the lady at tour guide training.
Oh I don't doubt that they will start this month.

It says in the email of the supplemental invite that interviews will be happening October-January. U think they'll run late?
That sucks because I already have an interview in cali on nov. 1st, and I really can't afford to fly to the West Coast twice 🙁
Can I have the second Cali interview? Since you won't be able to go?
If I get an II, I'll make a way someway somehow. But yea these med school expenses are no bueno 🙁
I totally understand this but keep in mind that DGSOM has a ton of scholarships to give away, so spending $500 for a plane ticket to interview here may pay off in the long run. Just something to keep in mind, especially since I think we have a lot of scholarships compared to other schools. The new scholarships may also free up more need-based aid too.
Ahh nice. That's good to know. Thanks.
Submitted UCLA. Now the waiting game commences.
Juan better put a bug in the adcoms ear about me!
Too late. I already told the ADCOM to take me over anyone else from the east coast 😛
Pssshhhh

Yeah I would make that trip to LA if I got an II.
... Well I guess technically I did.
I'm so anxious about this. I really hope they show me some love. Trying to wait two more weeks max before booking my flight.
Hmmm....is this a good or bad sign...just received a secondary invite after over 2 months of waiting...wondering if I'm going to submit it then be rejected the next day![]()
Someone once mentioned how sometimes getting a secondary later on after a thorough review of your app is better than someone who passes an autoscreen (though UCLA may not have an auto screen like Vandy) because then it means they liked your application as a whole as opposed to your numbers were above their cutoff formula. Just make sure you do an awesome job with their secondary questions (there are some many lol) Good luck!![]()
Thanks! I haven't written a secondary essay in almost 2 months...let's see if I've still got some fuel in the tank![]()
Why does UCLA always seem to move so slowly? With its secondaries and now the II's...

Secondary Invite!!!! This second application is already better than last time since I was rejected pre secondary here last time. Great Success!!!
Just a heads up, the first years are headed to Vegas, and the second years have exams. I, however, am on clinic, so I'll do my best to fill in and answer questions in the meantime.![]()

Thanks Juan, but can you show me around campus in less than 12 parsecs?
Does anyone know what UCLA is referring to in the interview confirmation page when they write "Please remember to send us your official school transcripts as soon as possible." Does this mean that we should send them a separate college transcript?

Interview Invite here as well (a few hours ago, complete 8/6). Excited to be in California again! 🙂
They have an interesting system to schedule interviews! Anyone know how long they usually take to send a date after the applicant responds with their preference?
I was originally going to. However, plans changed in the coming weeks for me. I guess I will just have to celebrates in sunny Los Angeles. Rough life. 🙂
Question before I flush $80:
Did we ever clear up the English requirement for Geffen? Was it one semester of composition and one semester of a writing intensive course (that can be outside of the English department) or does it need to be two classes with the English department code?
Thanks!
