^ yes, the info is a few pages back or so, but people asked that previously too

I think I saw you yesterday Juan Solo...in the Wilson student lounge during the Medical Student Research Preview event LOLOL

I was tabling for one of the programs.

I was there, you should have said hi!

Haha, I would have but you were leaving, you were on the stairs outside the lounge. I was almost going to say "Juan Solo", but I thought that might be a little awkward 😛Lol I was the guy in the light blue dress shirt at one of the global health research tables 😛

I must be a celebrity. Jk. Ha.

Are you a student?

Just got waitlisted. Not sure if anyone will cancel their interview tbh. Most likely a rejection, huh? 🙁

That is still a solid chance you have. I didn't not even recieve a secondary and I come on here hoping to see if I still have a shot at one considering they gave some out last year!

Edit: Deleted because question answered in previous page

Does anyone know when we can expect to hear back from Drew? I interviewed in October

I think last year was end of February/early march. I think this year with the amcas being late an all probably early-to-mid march. But this is just my speculation.

My roommate was complete in late August and by November was frustrated that he hadn't received a secondary despite having II at some other great programs (not saying that he think he deserved a secondary). Anyways, he emailed the admissions office asking about the status of his application and received a secondary 3 days later. This happened a few weeks ago. I would say, it doesn't hurt to try.

I would absolutely encourage people to contact admissions since they seem to actually read their emails at UCLA. That said, it won't work for all but it's worth giving it a shot, like ctrlaltdlt wrote.

I am a reapp who got another II this year (had one last year too). I was told by someone this was not a very common thing for DGSOM to do. Any truth to this? 🙂

Congrats! I don't know exactly but I think that they invited you again because they saw a good improvement in you apps this cycle?

May I ask when you were complete?

I would say that this is probably true. I guess you are special.

I received a secondary about a week ago, and I will be turning it in very soon (today or tomorrow, had an incredible busy work week). I saw that they interview until February...pouring my heart out on these questions and crossing my fingers for a slim chance at an II.🙄

Anyone know what the average USMLE Step 1 score is at UCLA? Just wondering. Thanks.

Does anyone know when Drew finishes interviews? I haven't heard anything from them. I was waitlisted at ucla prime.

Got the axe from the MSTP today pre-interview. Still, apparently, a candidate for the MD track. :inpain:

I must be a celebrity. Jk. Ha.
People have "recognized" me on interview days and second looks. My lame personality must be as obvious in person.

EDIT: Also my avatar is an actual picture of me.

Bout tree fiddy.

Silly question gets silly answer.

EDIT: I feel bad being mean... I don't know the average but we do *very* well. You'll find out one day that the best thing a school can do for your step 1 preparation is give you time off to study on your own schedule. We have a lot of that. And good test takers.

Hello!

I am interviewing here, and wanted to know the time allotted per question (as in the time allowed to read, and the time allowed to answer). Are we allowed to take the question into the room with us?

Hmm. I don't know but maybe the answer to this question will violate the disclosure agreement. But you will have enough time to read the prompt, even if you are a slow reader. I don't think that you will need the card with you but I can't remember. Don't stress, this MMI is no sweat.

Any tips for MMI/this MMI? Good ways to prep (e.g. books on ethics or MMI interview)?

Not sure if this is still going to be of help for you, but I would recommend Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) for the Mind by Dr. Kevyn To. It's a quick and effective prepbook for the MMIs that teaches you how to develop a framework to MMIs. Just search it on amazon.

Does anybody know how much time I should allot for interview day? I was told to report at noon to the campus, do you think I'll be able to catch a flight at 7pm? Should I book the flight for the next day?

You should easily be able to make a 7pm flight. You should be done before 5pm. Traffic will be atrociously bad.

My interview was at noon until 4:30ish, and we got stuck in traffic for 2h, just leaving downtown area. So I'm not sure you want to risk having just 2h before your flight.

I'm still hoping to get an interview from UCLA... any idea of when I should give up on that possibility (or should I already)?

I know UCLA has a really slow timeline, but I have no idea where they are at in the process.

I got an interview recently, and they scheduled mine for late February, if that helps at all. I was also a late secondary receiver (Mid-December).

Does UCLA interview past February? I read before somewhere prior in this thread that UCLA concludes its interviews by the end of February. I don't know how true that statement is.

Edit: Scratch that. I read the 2012-2013 thread, they interviewed into march.

Congrats! Would you mind sharing what dates were available? Thanks!
There really isn't any list of set dates like that. Since UCLA interviews from M-F, I just set a preference for the three days I'd prefer to interview with a small space to put in dates where I wouldn't be available. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Ah I see, well thanks anyway!

Still waiting for my interview date. How long did it take those who recently received invites to get their date after putting in their preferences?
