I got the waitlist snail mail today, interviewed early November. I thought interviews both went pretty well.
I got waitlist mail today as well but I interview mid-November. I'm OOS so I'm not surprised. Anyone know if UMD is receptive to updates?I got the waitlist snail mail today, interviewed early November. I thought interviews both went pretty well.
Do you happen to remember your exact interview date?I got waitlist mail today as well but I interview mid-November. I'm OOS so I'm not surprised. Anyone know if UMD is receptive to updates?
Up to you honestly. If money/time is not an issue to you, I'd say go to the interviewI was recently accepted by my state school (AZ)--should I withdraw my interview offer in January? Is University of Maryland worth skipping?
Id like to keep some anonymityDo you happen to remember your exact interview date?
Unfortunately, I don't think they had any waitlist movement last year. Not sure how this year will be like though.

Accepted yesterday!!!
For anyone waiting, it took me 8 weeks to receive my decision
Any MD/PhD applicants in here? Any idea when they stop sending out interview invites? I was complete a long, long time ago and I haven't heard back at all. Is it a silent rejection at this point?

For people accepted, have you guys gotten any information or updates since then? Anyway good luck to everyone else, I haven't heard a peep from the school since I got accepted in late Oct./early Nov. so that probably means they still have a long way to go to fill the incoming class.
medical paperwork? I thought we only had to turn in our acceptance of their offer within 2 weeks?what kind of stuff do you expect to hear about?
also, on a related note -- did you turn in the medical paperwork? I just realized 8 weeks is quickly approaching...

I had medical paperwork (immunization and medical history form) in the packet with my acceptance letter that said it needed to be turned in within 8 weeks of receipt, which freaked me out. Seemed a bit early tbh.. I'm going to call tomorrow I think. I'm assuming I'm not the only one who got the health forms?

I thought we didn't have to turn in the medical forms till we were sure we were going there? I accepted the offer but am not a 100% sure if that's where I'll end up...still waiting on a few schools.I also got those health forms- but have yet to do the TB testing required. *sigh*

Yeah this was my first thought, as well. I'm just going by the bolded/underlined words in the letter though lol. Seems weird that they put a deadline on it rather than just needing paperwork before orientation, or when transcripts are due in July. I'm going to ask today.
Well I guess I was expecting to hear about financial aid and such. FAFSA is due in March, right? Anyway, I think that 8 week deadline is a suggestion. I did the medical paperwork, but when I called to check up on it she said they were still verifying paperwork for present students, not incoming students.
For the priority deadline, I believe. Found this page with the list of dates: http://www.umaryland.edu/fin/prospective_students/
so any word on the medical paperwork?
With the snow and craziness of today I'd be surprised if admissions was actually in the office today. Thanks for calling though! Not yet, called the number in the letter but no one answered. Their answering system says they'll call back, so I left a message..but will call Monday if I don't hear today.

Yeah I called the student health office actually. But there is a liberal leave policy today, so I wouldn't be surprised either. I know I didn't want to trek through the snow to work!
I asked someone in the admissions office and they said that the medical history form is due 8 weeks from the letter of acceptance, or as soon as we can get it to them.Well thanks for calling though! Hopefully we get an answer on Monday

Looks like I'll be going for a TB test...

After sending back the reservation form and whatever other form it was in the acceptance packet, has anyone heard anything else from the school?
EDIT: Just scrolled up. But no one else has received any confirmation since then, yes? I'm being paranoid about it being lost in the mail over the holidays haha
