Hi. Submitted 2nd in late July. Sent multiple updates with publications during the season (nothing high impact). Interviewed mid-Jan. Sent a thank you note and got a personalized response from Dean Nicholas. Got a call from my interviewer Dr. Schullinger this evening. So psyched. Good luck everyone!!
 
Accepted today! Interviewed mid to late December, got a "personally it'd be a real pleasure" note from the Dean, sent no updates (who knew that's a thing?!)
Columbia is my dream school and I'm glad they looked past my numbers and accepted me!

Interviewed with Katz.

Sorry that I forgot to post other info (too excited and had a busy day). I submitted 8/22, interviewed early in october with Dr. Hoke. No updates. OOS

I was accepted by Dr. Garfein yesterday.

Haha, that would be awkward. Sorry I forgot to say it was via portal change. A letter appeared under a new "admission decision" tab. I got an email before the letter appeared

Cue intense neuroticism. I don't have an admission decision tab and haven't gotten a call. Does this mean I'll be getting an acceptance call in the next couple of days? That I've been flat out rejected? That I've been waitlisted and they just haven't updated my portal yet?? Agghh the uncertainty!

Me too. Also, I interviewed at Bassett, and have not heard from them either. I'm curious if anyone else is in the same boat. It's a small program and I understand if some people don't want to post about it, in which case please feel free to PM me.
 
Is there a way to check the phone number we gave Columbia on the portal? Also, have others gotten emails about portal updates?

Based on the past two years' threads the answer could be all of the above. At least on SDN, most people seemed to be waitlisted the day after these calls were made. Though yesterday didn't seem to be as many people accepted as in years before. Also if your interviewer wasn't calling that could be something else. It's so whacky! We just have to wait like we have been patiently 🙂.
 
Any reports of acceptances over the portal? Here's hoping my interviewer has laryngitis and couldn't call.

+1. Received a call from someone other than my interviewer yesterday afternoon. Also received email regarding portal update this morning, and I saw the acceptance in my portal after
 
Any more WLs come out over email or portal? I still have nothing at all

No email, no portal change. Anyone interview with Dr. Ratner? Last years thread makes it seem like he didn't call anyone...
 
Guys I got accepted!!!

I can't even believe it I had given up all hope!

My interviewer (Dr. DB in peds) called last night, missed me, and called again this morning.

So excited!!!!

Edit: complete in September, II in October, interviewed in December, LizzyM 75+

Edit 2: also got portal acceptance around 11 am

Just got waitlisted. I got an email telling me the portal was updated.

Ditto... relieved actually. I saw someone on MDApps interviewed and was rejected today. Congrats all! And sorry that person.. this process is so crazy!
 
Waitlisted as well. This kind of hurts, but I was completely expecting it. Email and update on portal.
 
Any idea of how many people get accepted, waitlisted, or rejected post-interview?

From the 1200+ people they interviewed, I have heard that they waitlist up to 800 people. Numbers on how many are accepted from the waitlist vary. I have heard as many as 100, someone at the interview said 30-40. (Although I cant remember if he said % or people).

As I have said, waitlist movement is usually fairly substantial. Most of the students I met during my interview had been waitlisted before they got accepted. That being said, the most likely outcome, statistically, is still that we will remain on the waitlist until class starts with a silent rejection. However, that is no reason to loose hope. Again, waitlist movement does exist do a good degree. (I checked last year's thread and there was no SDNer who reported being accepted off the waitlist.) Most movement happens in June, perhaps earlier this year.
 
I remembered that I was waitlisted here for undergrad, it was quite a ride then too. I got waitlisted in March, then double waitlisted in June, then finally denied as the school year began. Hoping for better luck this time!
