Thanks! Until the II, I never got any sort of email status update from Loyola other than that my application was complete. I didn't check the application site, though, so I may have had a different status before and just not received an email until the II.
 
I just checked the online application and my status is "Your file has been reviewed by the Committee on Admissions. The review process is continuous from now until the conclusion of our interview season in April. If you are granted an interview, you will be contacted by phone and/or e-mail". I understand that this is a type of hold, but is there anyone on here who's received an interview after receiving this status? Or do you think that they'll only really reevaluate the people on hold at the end of the cycle?
 
Complete mid-July and still "under review." Is this good or bad? Any thoughts?

So, it seems that most people who stay under review, as opposed to "has been reviewed", often get interview. NOT a rule, just an observation, which I'm sure people on here can prove me wrong on.

I was complete early July, and stayed under review, and got an II in Sept. Either they hadn't gotten to you yet, or have, and want to possibly interview you, just not right this moment, but they are more interested than to put you automatically on hold.

This is based ONLY on some observations from discussions with other applicants. Take it with a nice grain of NaCl.

Yeah, I was also thinking along those lines... Now would be a good time for another update letter, I guess. Maybe that could add some C6H12O6 to my app.

I did the student hosting for my interview and it was really nice to stay with a student and pretty easy to set it up. Matt is really nice and will definitely take care of it for you! Plus most students live pretty close to the school so you don't have far to go in the morning. 10/10 would recommend
 
II today! This is very exciting. Scheduled for the end of Oct but there were dates available before that.
 
Hi guys,
Quick question. I received my secondary 8/28 and have been waiting on a letter of recommendation to submit it. The letter was recently submitted and upon checking my applicant portal I noticed that it said my secondary was due 9/28... but on the Loyola webpage it lists a November deadline. Should I still submit my secondary, or will it not be considered?

Email admissions and ask for an extension. They'll likely give it to you.
 
just got the "has been reviewed" status. Really sad about this one 🙁 I've been "under review" since 7/24.

Just moved to "has been reviewed" today, after a long wait since 7/29 🙁
 
I've been under review since 7/10. Does anyone know how I should interpret this? Has anyone gotten an II after this long of a time under review?

I second this however some people do get off hold to get an interview before the rejections come.
 
"Has been reviewed" is the hold status. People do get off of the hold for interviews, if you look at the previous cycle (If I remember correctly).

Yep thats the hold and a few people got off the hold and got an interview on this forum. Roll on back a check it out.
 
Complete since the end of July and "reviewed" today... I was hoping that being "under review" for all this time was a good sign. Apparently not.
 
So excited for tomorrow! Does anyone know if Loyola calls the people who are accepted?

They call MOST acceptees! The acceptance letter is the final verdict. Good luck everyone!

PS-- Stritch has mid-semester break! Apparently not all schools do this 😉

I assume, in addition to the letter, they also email though, correct?

No e-mail.

Definitely snail mail. Phone call if your interviewer "feels" like it basically. Can't wait to hear back!! This place was fantastic.
