2014-2015 Loyola University Chicago (Stritch) Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
@Accio I do not know what the average is however according to MSAR the 10th to 90th percentile is a 29-37 and the MEDIAN is a 33.

Has anyone gotten a response from admissions about replacing the non-science letter? I dug up previous years' threads but there wasn't a concrete answer. The impression seems to be "send us $75 and we shall see".

If you sent a question through your email and haven't received a response, I would just call. The admissions staff are very friendly here.

II!! I got a phone call just a minute ago 🙂
Congrats!! May I ask what was the number that they called you from?
I just want to make sure that I take their call as soon as I see that number without assuming that it's an automated call from a company or something! haha

And thank you 🙂

Congrats to everyone! Thank you for adding an extra level of paranoia, as I will now be refreshing my email AND staring at my phone constantly.

I'm still under review...C'mon Stritch! Does your applicant portal say anything about the invite?

One more question. Did you also receive an email in addition to the phone call?
No, I scheduled an interview on the phone, and they said they'd send an email confirmation in a couple of days. Also I have a LizzieM >75 since people here usually ask for stats.

Did you guys stay under review before/after you received your II?

BTW, does anyone remember if Loyola sent out a "complete" e-mail? I submitted mine on 7/7, when they also marked it as "received", and maybe a day or two later I went to "under review with the committee on admissions", and have been there ever since. However, I do not have any records of "applicant is officially complete" e-mail or anything of that sort.

I never received a complete email either. I am under review ~2 weeks now.

does anyone know if they have student hosting for interviews?

Will they send us more information closer to our interview date?

If I remember correctly, they sent us information about student hosts fairly soon after the II. If you haven't received any information about it following an II, I would call the admissions office and ask.

The admissions person who called with the invite said they would send an email confirmation next week that would have some forms to fill out. Perhaps there will be information included in that.

Dang, got switched to "has been reviewed" after 2+ weeks of "under review". Hopefully its still early enough in the process that I have a shot at an II eventually

+1

I've been under review for a month; can't decide if that's good or bad.
