Is there a date after which you can no longer send updates?
The date one is rejected. You can always email them in.Is there a date after which you can no longer send updates?
Advice to any who visit and drive? Look up how long travel will take you and triple it. Even at 6:00 AM it took me forever to go ~3 miles in Chicago.
Thanks for the advice!! I plan to explore Chicago via car so Ill definitely take traffic into consideration. Do you have any suggestions to prepare for the interview?
Honestly? If you know who you are and why you want to be a doctor you're fine. They didn't have any "trick" questions.
Dag, Yo. They're going to be extending invitations into May 😛When I interviewed here this month the dean told me that they are pretty behind on their application due to a large turnover within the admissions staff. So they are behind on reviewing applications (I think just hit August), hence everyone being on hold for all of eternity.
sent an update during the first week of January and got put on hold shortly after...then to my surprise II this morning! For those of you who are on hold, don't give up yet!
For those of you have interviewed..can anyone give me some tips on how to prepare? I've read some of the other posts, but I'm just trying to get as much information as possible 😀..it's my first interview and I'm terrified hahaha
yes! I originally had the "your application is under review" status...then I sent a pretty lengthy update and it changed to "your application has been reviewed" shortly afterCongrats on your invitation!! That is fantastic news and definitely gives me hope. Just to clarify...by "on hold" you meant that you had the "has been reviewed" status?
Nice! When was your application complete? Sent two updates to no avail :-/sent an update during the first week of January and got put on hold shortly after...then to my surprise II this morning! For those of you who are on hold, don't give up yet!

I was offered an interview a couple days ago (last time I checked my portal was about a week ago and to my knowledge was never on hold) and I was offered some of the last interview dates available which was only into first week of March. Never sent any updates, complete end of September.Dag, Yo. They're going to be extending invitations into May 😛

I agree. The "under review" portal message states that applications can remain in review "until the end of the interview season in April." Although whether that is early or late April, who knows at this point, but I'm sure there will be more days throughout March. Perhaps they just haven't opened them up yet?I think they're interviewing until the end of April! Although it seems like last year they did stop interviews in March

Congrats! What dates available?Hey All! II this afternoon! Complete 8/7, Lizzie M ~71, OOS. Also, I had the 'has been reviewed' status for a bit before the II. Sent an update earlier this month...maybe it helped 🙂. Good luck everyone.
The first date they offered was March 7, just kinda assumed that was the earliest available. And thanks!Congrats! What dates available?
When were you complete?Hi guys, got an II yesterday! They said I can only come on Weds. so I think someone cancelled so they're squeezing me in? Anyways theres still hope. Anyone know generally how long after interviews you get a decision? Thanks!
9/23When were you complete?
What time does the interview day end?
And what time do weekday interview starts? The instructions only give a report time for the saturday interviews.
Don't Give up hope! I just got an II via phone right now! Scheduled for Early Feb but there was an early March date available too!Called admissions today. Woman told me my application had been reviewed, but no decision made. Go on-line and it still says "under review".
Calling it a day. Assuming rejection, not withdrawing but not checking the portal again.
me too! =)Don't Give up hope! I just got an II via phone right now! Scheduled for Early Feb but there was an early March date available too!
Just got an II this morning too! Does anyone know if it's better to arrive at O'Hare or Midway? Also, if my interview is at 9:30am, do you think I can make it back at a 5:30pm flight at O'Hare? Thank you!
Hey, I was actually complete back in August. So I'm really surprised at the II. My stats aren't stellar: 31 on the MCAT, 3.8 uGPA, 3.7sGPA. And I don't know if I was ever put on hold bc I don't check my secondary app often, but I never got an email telling me I was on hold. Good luck and keep your hopes up! I was losing hope at one point as well!Congrats! Do you mind sharing when you were complete/if you were ever on hold? Good luck!
Your 2nd interview could be at any time, though expect it around 10:45-11am. All in all you should be done around 2 pm. So it depends on how comfortable you are with that skinny timeframe. If you drive from the school to the airport you're probably fine. Public transportation will take over an hour, expect security to take at least an hour (my experience when I was there last week).Just got an II this morning too! Wow I had no idea they scheduled some interviews that late! Definitely listen to Heplayer92's advice! Play it safe over sorry.I would give myself some extra time if I were in your shoes just to be safe. My first interview was 10 or 10:30, 2nd interview wasn't until 1:30. Ended up chatting for 1.5 hours, and then another 30-60mins chat with an admissions person there. Did not leave until 4ish.
Congrats. When were you scheduled for?Just got an II this morning too! Does anyone know if it's better to arrive at O'Hare or Midway? Also, if my interview is at 9:30am, do you think I can make it back at a 5:30pm flight at O'Hare? Thank you!
I was scheduled for 2/25. I think i will just look for a later flight ebcause I know O'Hare is a busy airport as well. Thanks so much everyone!Congrats. When were you scheduled for?

One more question: how often/long are we outside on the interview day? Would I have to hold on to my big coat or can I leave it with my bag (if they provide a storage place)?
Thank you!I'd echo what others said -- my interview day (way back when) went til 4:30. You can always hang out on campus if you need to kill some time.
You can ask your tour guide if you'll be going outside. I personally avoid it all-together when I tour students or take the tunnels to the gym and hospital (yes, Loyola knows it can get cold!). Admissions does offer you a closet to keep your stuff.
For the record, Midway is way closer than O'Hare.
Well, there are around 60 people in the facebook group.Does anyone know how full the class is as of now? I know there is always chatter about how Feb/March interviews are typically for a waitlist spot, but has anyone heard anything specific from the admissions office? I know it's sometimes brought up during interviews, so I'm just curious if anyone has any info 😀
