How did you find out? Call? Email?

I checked the portal in the afternoon and learned of the good news, then checked my email and had received an email at 3:23 PM.

Congrats to those who were accepted today were yall IS or OOS? if you don't mind sharing

I am IS with ties to OHSU:

Finishing up my MPH in Epi & Biostats, at OHSU, this term.
TA for Epi at OHSU.
Work as an RAII for a professor in OHSU's School of Public Health.
And work as a Research Coordinator for a TB doc up on the hill.

Yay! Awesome! Congrats to you both!! See you in August!

Thanks, congratz to you too! Cya in August!

tomorrow we will see if they decided like they did last year the Friday before.....eee
Last year the date was May 15th and we heard May 13th so only 2 days prior. I would love to hear tomorrow though but guessing we will be waiting till next week.

So perhaps earliest next Tuesday...
You guess is as good as mine, I've prepared myself that I'll be waiting till the 30th, although that hasn't stopped me from checking the portal everyday. So close! I wonder if anyone has called admissions lately, I think last year someone was able to get information about number of acceptances and what not.

I am thinking about calling today. If I do (and I am not promising I will) what do we want to know?

How deep they think the waitlist will be.

Sidenote, does anyone know how far down they will usually go on the waitlist when offering acceptances?

Pretty sure it varies by year. Could be anywhere from 20-50

In a conversation with a staff member they mentioned that the wait list is pretty volatile, but frequently moves up to the 80th or 90th spot. Some years (last year?) they even get into the low 100's.
If you look at last years thread there is a graph with the last 5 years wait list movement that has been compiled. Would be nice if someone kept it going.

i just called the admission office because I was put on hold in 2/5. The waiting is killing me.

The last admission committee meeting was yesterday. They are compiling the scores now and we will know next week about our final decisions. The admission lady could not tell me how many acceptances were handed out and also could not give me some information regarding my status because our scores are all getting calculated now.....

Hope this helps anyone who was wondering and good luck!

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!!! I'm curious why some people are finding out today while others aren't (if they are, in fact, barely calculating scores now)...?

The four people who have been accepted off post-interview hold (who have posted here) were all in-state. As of yesterday, some OOS folks were still waiting for post-interview decision. I am infering that IS and OOS folks are being treated differently at this stage. Thinking it through, the adcom likely needs to do this to ensure a satisfactory number of IS folks actually get in before a waitlist, as they will all be mixed on the WL. It could just be that all the IS folks have been ranked. It could be lots of things though, I'm purely speculating.

I'm IS with strong ties to the school and still haven't received my post-interview decision (interviewed 2/20). I'm going crazy.

I'm IS, interviewed 10/8 and have been on hold since 10/30, so I don't there is a particular method to the madness. Patience really is a virtue. So close, yet so far...!

I didn't manage to call today (too much work), but I am still post interview (march and IS) with no word. Congrats to those accepted! Best of luck to the rest of us!
