Thanks for the news Wparrella! I guess I'll be holding my breath until then.

Pre-II rejection just noww. Complete early October

Really hope you get one! been rooting for you!
Thanks DoctorLacrosse! It is so frustrating some days because I know I look so risky on paper, but if they would interview me they would see that despite my rare medical condition I am truly not a risk in the slightest. I am committed to helping patients through a strong understanding of medicine, compassion and excellent deductive reasoning. I will not be deterred from this dream, but sometimes the path is very long. I have 7 schools of 13 who have me in some sort of hold (or neverending silence) group. I just need one acceptance, but how can I get there if they never know what to think of me!?

@italiancowgirl I haven't been following your posts or anything but definitely don't give up!! Sometimes it take more than one application cycle to get in and perseverance is definitely a well looked upon quality in this field! I will be crossing my fingers that you get in this cycle but absolutely don't give up if it's your dream!

Rejected post-interview this morning 🙁 I thought this was one of my better shots too. Quinnipiac is a fickle beast!

Best of luck to everyone still in the running.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully something else works out for you.

I'm at least glad to see there's info going out to people. I've sent in updates, but am still getting silence from Q.

Accepted this morning! Super psyched about it, Q has a ton to offer

edit: for accepting the offer, is that binding? They said to accept within 2 weeks; if I accept am I allowed to later withdraw? I'm still waiting to hear back from 2 other schools and need to talk with family before I make a final decision

As far as I know, accepting the offer is non-bonding and the $100 deposit is refundable if you withdraw your acceptance prior to April 30th. You can also withdraw after April 30th if you get accepted off another school's waitlist, but you forfeit the deposit.

fantastic! Thank you for the advice! 🙂

Congrats on the acceptances. I really liked my interview here and the faculty was fantastic, particularly one of my interviewers (clinical instructor). I'm torn between attending here and one other school.

haven't been following this thread since I got my first acceptance, but - II this morning! LM ~65, complete late August
still not decided if I will go. I do like Netter but not sure if I'd choose over my current acceptance, and running low on vacation days

@kjj17, that gives me some reason to hope! I'm also still holding on to whatever slim hope there may be for an II here! Do you know what interview days were still available at this point?

edit: ps-hi from the Duke thread!

I saw 3 dates in March!

edit: oh hi!! haha some insanity over there

Interview invite this morning. Three dates open the first half of March.

Edit: I won't be attending. I can't swing another cross country flight. This school sounds neat though, I hope my spot can go to one of the hopefuls here!

II a couple days ago! Kinda short notice on their part but I'll take it. Complete in July so this was completely unexpected. Anyone have any interview tips? 🙂

Everyone is really great there. Calm environment, very welcoming. They are 2 45 minute interviews, just be yourself. No need to be concerned/anything you need to know.

I was admitted two weeks after my interview.

So up til now I told myself that no news is good news. And I know that people have gotten II's recently. But now it's officially March and the anxiety is starting to take over. Does anyone know if more II's will go out?

Just got an II. It was a total surprise, but feel honored. Does anyone know if they still have a spot in the class or are they interviewing for wait-list position at this point?

Interviewed on Friday and was told there were definitely still spots available and they will be outright accepting people following the next two adcom meetings. One of which will be this Thursday and the next will likely be two weeks later because they are taking a week off.

quinnipiac is a new school, so my feeling is that there will be a LOT of waitlist movement. to the extent that "interviewing for waitlist positions" is even a real thing (this seems to be an SDN myth, but idk), being waitlisted at a school that is guaranteed to have movement isn't the end of the world

i mean it was mostly conjecture but i think it's sound advice! lol

if you knock your interview out of the park you'll be fine. there was literally 22 days from the time i was INVITED to interview to the time i was accepted, and this was last month. turnaround can be quick, and there are spots to be had. good luck!

i mean this whole "interviewing for a waitlist spot" thing...

every school, even harvard, has to accept more applicants than there are positions in the class. people have multiple acceptances, they withdraw, schools know this...this happens at every school. if you're invited for an interview and you kill the interview, you can get an acceptance.

Were there a few days available? I have a $5 bet going with my boyfriend about whether they'll send me a II...his family lives nearby so he's hoping, but I'm thinking it's a lost cause at this point.

Congrats! Had you sent in any updates or anything recently or was is sort of out of nowhere?

Have to agree with you. There were 2 weeks between my invite and my interview, 1 week between my interview and acceptance. This was a month ago.

Edit: sorry, posted on the wrong page!

Surprise II this morning! My interview is this Friday, I am really excited!

Hi GranD14 and Ruby31--I saw 3/6 and 16 open. I sent my update in late December. But I submitted my secondary in December... So my expectation was very low. Good luck to you !

Anyone familiar with the transportation in CT: if my flight departure is scheduled for 7:15pm from Bradley International Airport on interview day, what is the best method of transport from the campus? Will I have enough time to get there after interview day? Thanks!

Rejected pre-interview. Finally a break in the silence!
