Accepted!
New member here - I interviewed 11/1 and I remember the admissions officer saying that we should expect to hear back around 4-5 weeks later. I was wondering if people had been hearing back in that time frame or if it had been taking longer?
Nearly 9 weeks via portal update.New member here - I interviewed 11/1 and I remember the admissions officer saying that we should expect to hear back around 4-5 weeks later. I was wondering if people had been hearing back in that time frame or if it had been taking longer?
Are update letters almost mandatory here?
hey guys and girls,
im an ms1 at upstate med from downstate, ny.
if youve got any questions, just ask me here.
weve got an exam soon so it may take me a day.
see you all soon on the interview circuit.
ask away.
I would like to know the same thing. Is a hold pretty much a rejection?
And does anyone get flat out rejected pre-interview? Or are they placed on hold?
You know people this cycle who were rejected pre ii?kazin --
i know students who were held, got ii's, and then were accepted and students who were held, got ii's, and then were rejected, as well as people who were held and did not get ii's. no rhyme or reason.
i know people who were rejected pre-ii, so i dont think the hold is upstate meds way of rejecting people.

I'm going to assume they exist but don't want to post it here...You know people this cycle who were rejected pre ii?
I meant if he was referring to people he knows this cycle, or in general.I'm going to assume they exist but don't want to post it here...
Apparently it's an issue with some browsers, like Chrome. Firefox works fine for me.hey guys, i interviewed here yesterday and thought the school was awesome. Is the application portal down for anyone else? The page isn't even loading
YupFor those that were accepted and paid the deposit, are your portal's now blank? Mine doesn't have anything other than the processed application.
Where you in the early or later group? I wouldn't worry about it just yet, maybe they aren't really doing it in a rigid order. And I received the email around 5:30 ish, maybe they're done for the day and you will receive your acceptance tomorrow! Stay positive!Congrats!!! I interviewed that day as well, still have my interview page though... I'm going to sound like a neurotic premed, but do they do rejection/WLs post interview at this time? I have a hunch it won't change because I'm not accepted ):
What day was your interview?Accepted yesterday!! First one!
Interviewing here next Wednesday, will be staying in a hotel down the block on Tuesday night.
Anybody else planning on the same?
Take the shuttle from the airport to the hotel because it's free and you likely aren't too pressed for time. For everything else, a cab is more reliable.Yes I'm also interviewing here. I'm a bit concerned because the weather forecasts up to this point were pretty clear, but are now predicting a "significant snowstorm" for this region. I've lived in Pittsburgh and Boston before so I'm not totally unfamiliar with bad weather, but I also know that snowstorms in this area can be particularly severe and crippling due to the lake effect. Maybe some folks from the area could give me some guidance re: should I be concerned about delays flying in Tuesday? Also I was planning to take the shuttle from the airport to hotel, and from hotel to interview. Is this the best method of transportation from the airport?
What day was your interview?
Has anyone from 10/22 afternoon heard back yet? My interview page is still availabe-making me nervous and thinking about calling
Congrats! Do you mind saying if you were in the morning group or the afternoon group?Accepted last Thursday by email!! Interviewed here on 10/22! This is my first acceptance so needless to say I'm really happy about this!
