Guess it's official now. I have to assume that they did, in fact, send out a round of acceptances, we just didn't hear about it.
I'm going with they just didn't send them out at all lolololGuess it's official now. I have to assume that they did, in fact, send out a round of acceptances, we just didn't hear about it.
Why would you assume that?Guess it's official now. I have to assume that they did, in fact, send out a round of acceptances, we just didn't hear about it.
I pray you get in! But I was in a similar situation last year and only interviewed at one school but I didn't get in 🙁 but I reappliead and interviewed at 5 schools so if that DOES happen (and I hope it doesn't) all hope is not lost!If I don't hear back on match day, it's definitely going to put me in a real state of worry/stress/tension seeing that this is the only school that interviewed me. Fingers crossed, and hope everyone gets accepted at least somewhere!
It just seems really unlikely that they would only send out one round of prematches on the first day, especially when they've told people a couple times that they'd be sending out another wave. I'd sooner believe that they just didn't send any to people on SDN than I would that they lied to everyone and didn't send out any.Why would you assume that?

Yeah I hear you, but they also added two interview dates in Jan. So I think they'd release them after those, so those applicants have the chance to prematchIt just seems really unlikely that they would only send out one round of prematches on the first day, especially when they've told people a couple times that they'd be sending out another wave. Yeah, like @Earl Simmons said, you can't prematch after December 31st. It's the last day for acceptances before the match; there are no acceptances sent out in the month of January (except for OOS students, of course).Yeah I hear you, but they also added two interview dates in Jan. I was checking last year thread around same time. I believe there were no prematches at least on SDN after Dec 15th posted.Yeah, like @Earl Simmons said, you can't prematch after December 31st. Oh whoops! I'm OOS, goes to show what I know! LolPrematch ended December 31st though.
if the application page says "under review" and i havent heard anything from them by now.. does that mean it is over? :| and do you guys think a 28 mcat is sufficient to get into this med school if i apply early next cycle?... sigh
i also havent gotten an invite yet for II and am IS. thanks for the reply 🙂Are you IS or OOS? Either way, no, it's not over. If you're IS, there's still the match (where many get accepted), and if you're OOS, you could still get in. Admittedly it's less likely if you're OOS, but definitely still possible.

My sincere advise to you is to retake the MCAT after solid preparation and reapply next year. Work on any other weakness in your application and get better LORs.i also havent gotten an invite yet for II and am IS. thanks for the reply 🙂
I've only seen one OOS acceptance on this thread and I believe that was in Oct. Most of us are just in the perpetual wait phase.any OOSers hear back that interviewed in november?
I interviewed 5 mos ago as an OOS, and no newsany OOSers hear back that interviewed in november?

A 28 is an accepted score. It just means every other portion of your app must be flawless. I know ppl with higher Mcats who got no interviews and ppl with 27s who received multiples.not sure if i can prepare for the new mcat in time to apply early :| really don't think i can make it with 28 mcat if i applied early?
Just applying early with 28 is not a big factor in itself. There are successful candidates with 28 MCAT but they then have solid EC, LOR, GPA, sGPA. If you cannot retake a 28, I would also suggest you be open to DO schools. Next year I believe one more DO school is opening in Texas.not sure if i can prepare for the new mcat in time to apply early :| really don't think i can make it with 28 mcat if i applied early?

If you are URM, it helps
Very easy. You get plenty of time to drive, and they send you out before the army talk (so if you've interviewed at TTEP or UTHSCSA and heard it before you don't need to sit through it again). The people at Round Rock were great, very accommodating.Has anyone here been invited to Temple's interview orientation in the morning and then relocated to Round Rock for the interviews on the same day?
If so, what were your experiences like at the Round Rock campus?
This is my first post on this A&M page. I am OOS, interviewed in Oct for the md/phd, received acceptance email before Christmas and just waiting for the letter in the mail which should have been sent this week now that everyone is back in the office.any OOSers hear back that interviewed in november?
I interviewed on 1/8. Love the school!ayy I forgot about this place until I saw some people interviewing on 1/8.
If you already have prematches - go enjoy your life, for real. If you're a senior, don't slack too much!
If you're still waiting, wait for the match. A lot of people match. If you don't match, the waitlist goes on till the summer and there is movement so don't fret!
As always, message me or post questions here and I'll try to answer
Were there any OOS students at your interview day? Just curious!I interviewed on 1/8. Love the school!
Hello, everyone! First-time poster here.
According to "Information for Applicants" book that was handed out during interviews, the class size was 200 in 2013 (pg. 17). However, I noticed that there were only 126 residency matches that year (pg. 24). What happened to the other 74 students? Did I miss any information that could explain this?
I know there was one. I'm not sure about any others. Were there any OOS students at your interview day? Just curious!

They didn't mention anything about the January interview date's match chances vs waitlist did they? I'm interviewing on 1/15 and for some reason I'm worried that they're interviewing my group strictly to fill their waitlist. Again, that's not based on anything I've heard. Just wondering.I interviewed on 1/8. Love the school!
Nice! So there is still a chance for OOS to get acceptedI know there was one. I'm not sure about any others.
Thanks! I received it on 12/5. My secondary was done around mid july.Congrats on getting an interview! When did you get an interview invite @typoncho? When did you submit your secondary?
They made it clear we absolutely still had a chance at matching. They didn't mention anything about the January interview date's match chances vs waitlist did they? matching or pre-matching? I would understand prematching, since that window is gone, but I find it unlikely they would say you couldn't match. They said they do a rank system, so if you have a kickass interview you'd be up near the top with those who interviewed at the beginning or middle of the season who also did well. They made it clear we absolutely still had a chance at matching.
Did they happen to say anything about the pre-matches that didn't (or did) go about "before the holidays"?They made it clear we absolutely still had a chance at matching.
Right. I said that we did have a chance at matching. Of course it's too late to prematch, though.matching or pre-matching? Nope, not a word on that. Sorry!Did they happen to say anything about the pre-matches that didn't (or did) go about "before the holidays"?
Are you already able to rank them on TMDSAS? I'll have 5 days after my interview to rank them by the 21st lol.Nope, not a word on that. Sorry!
Nope, I can't rank them yet. I'm so worried about that with Southwestern! I interview there on the 17th.Are you already able to rank them on TMDSAS? I'll have 5 days after my interview to rank them by the 21st lol.
You can't hold more than one match. All of us end up with one acceptance coming out of match. However, if you matched at your second choice school, but not your first, you can end up still being placed on the wait list for your top choice. If you make it off the wait list, I'm a little unsure if you are automatically pulled out of your lower ranked school or if you can choose which to attend.Question. Maybe I don't fully understand the diff. B/w prematching and matching, but is it possible to match at more than one school if you didn't prematch? For example I've had two tx interviews, and I didn't prematch here but TT in Lubbock I just recently interviewed there, so can you match at both...? Is it different from prematching? Gracias!

Question: does Texas A&M not have a fafsa code? I can only see the undergraduate college on there.
