Do you guys know if they'll notify us via email if we get off the waitlist?

What was the email about? I didn't get anything from her, but have gotten all the other ones?

For those not accepted anywhere but still on the waitlist, are you planning on reapplying when applications open for the new cycle? Does a&m like reapplicants? What are the chances of getting off the wait list after applications open again?
 
I would definitely reapply. Best case, you get accepted off the waitlist and wasted $140. Worst case, you have all your stuff in as early as possible should you need to reapply.

https://www.tmdsas.com/frwqAskedQ/08-Re-Applicants.html mentions that not all of your current 2014-2015 application will "roll over" for the new cycle's application, so I would save all your current TMDSAS information. It also talks about re-releasing MCAT scores, re-sending in transcripts/LOR's, etc. If you already have your MCAT score, I would make sure EVERYTHING is submitted May 1st, the first day the application is open. For a lot of us (myself included), there should be no excuse for not getting everything submitted on day 1 and being ahead of the game/lazy people/people who take their MCAT later. Since a lot of applicants currently on waitlists have good stats already, any advantage could help! Good luck!

So I'm on the waitlist for TAMHSC, and I have a few questions if anyone has the answers! Thanks in advance. 🙂

Based on past waitlists, are my chances good? How many people usually get off the waitlist, and how many people are on the waitlist? Also, I submitted the additional personal statement, updated transcripts, and letter of recommendation to the school. Does this affect my rank on the waitlist at all?
 
from my understanding it is a ranked waitlist. no idea on the numbers tho.
 
When I called the admission office, they said they aren't allowed to tell us what number we are on the list.

I spoke to Ms. Diaz from the admissions, and she said the letters and transcripts wont make a significant difference to your already assigned ranks; however, it will in a time where they would have to choose between two applicants who are very close in terms of their specs and achievements.
 
Any indication of movement? Have people already been accepted off the list, or is the wait still ongoing?

Has anyone posted on the c/o 2019 Facebook page that they got in off the waitlist?
 
has anyone received the acceptance package in the mail yet?

edit: should probably look at the fb group more often, answer is there.

I imagine there will be significant wait list movement after April 30 when those with multiple acceptances withdraw. So if people matched here but also out of state and choose the OOS school, there will be more wait list movement.

Yeah, I've been accepted to one school and I'm on two wait lists for other schools so thank you! But last year I was in the same position as you with 1 interview and 1 waitlist and I know how badly you want it to work out. Although it didn't happen for me that year I'm hoping and wishing it works out for you! And if it doesn't (fingers crossed that it does), take solace in the fact that I reapplied and got 5IIs and at least once acceptance so all hope is not lost 🙂 Good luck
 
Does it occur in waves to give students coming in off the waitlist a better selection of campuses?
 
i got the call on a thursday, and then i called the following day inquiring about my campus designation. i was given the option between BCS, Austin/Round Rock and Temple.
 
I'm noticing people getting off waitlists on several other Texas schools' threads. Hopefully this is good news for those of us on TAMHSC's waitlist!

tbh idk; i just remember that there were days when a bunch of people got off the waitlist. IIRC it was after the day when you had to drop your multiple acceptances.

Also the latest I've heard one of our classmates getting off the waitlist was in July.

I personally don't want to post them publicly because there's personal information on them.
There was some guy who made an excel sheet of the match results which they might share if you ask in the FB group.
Don't ask right now because we have an exam in 1 hr. Ask tonight or tomorrow!
