It does! I was honestly equally as stressed about that part as I am/was about getting accepted to the school haha!Phew. Thought I had missed some paperwork! That must feel great!

Hooray, fellow Air Forcer! with all the excitement about the navy waitlist on this board, it's nice to see some AF excitement as well!Perhaps same deal as fieldandstream3 -- got an email this AM explaining the Navy wait list, with the option to express interest in Army or Air Force instead. Expressed interest in both, and now I've got a conditional acceptance to Air Force!! Legitimately the best birthday present ever 🙂
So, interviewed 10/2, wait listed Navy, and then conditional acceptance to Air Force today (12/3).
Could not be more excited!!!
Can anyone give me an idea of how long it took from when your were complete to when you received an interview invite? I have been complete for over 2 months and complete silence. Should I assume I won't be getting one?
I was complete on August 18 and received my interview invite on September 9. It was still pretty early then, though. They will probably take a little longer to turn things around at this point in the cycle, especially given things like the Thanksgiving break. Hang in there, though, I know waiting is a tough game! Can anyone give me an idea of how long it took from when your were complete to when you received an interview invite? On that note... tomorrow is Friday. After rereading the entire thread since Oct 15, Friday seems to be when calls usually go out. @Glycereine perhaps tomorrow will be our lucky day![]()
🙂 🙂 This is why I love SDN. Also because it is fertile ground for procrastinating on school work. Coincidentally I'm writing/currently procrastinating on a research paper on dehydration and exercise capacity and tons of the papers I'm using are coming out of military programs. Makes me want this even more/ be even more impatient. Not helpful, as I'm (if you guys couldn't already tell) incredibly antsy about these waiting shenanigans.I'll be waiting here to congratulate you and Glycereine tomorrow, or whenever Dean Saguil calls you guys!

Appreciate the confidence and well wishes but I don't know if they are looking at me as being released until the official paperwork comes though. If not, they can't/won't offer me anything until it does.
This depends on the date that you were complete. I was complete in mid July and got my II three weeks later in early August. USUHS is probably pretty overwhelmed with applications right now, and we are heading into Christmas/New Years season.
You may very well get an II in the coming weeks or perhaps in January. I know people who were complete at USUHS around late October and received an II in January. I believe interviews go into February.
So there's still hope!

Thank you so much for that information!!!!! Seriously, sending internet high fives.I forget who asked a few posts back but they said that those who interviewed today would all be considered for the wait list. Navy is full and there are 4 spots left for AF. I can't remember how many Army are left.

Wow Bear.. I thought I was blind! not sure how the waiver process goes. I would get in touch with Ms. RasmauserJust got medically disqualified for "Refractive Error: Myopia (Near-Sighted) over -8.00 diopters in spherical equivalent"
I read online that "Many times waiver authorities will require a normal dilated retinal exam in order to consider a waiver. This is done on a case by case basis."
Does this mean I stand a good chance at a waiver? Should I be worried?
I feel your pain. When did you interview?Just got a call from a Maryland area code and pretty much pooped myself with excitement... Turns out it was someone interested in applying for an opening at my company 🙁
Same day as you 🙂
15 spots left in the initial 175...Wait, there are only 15 spots left?!?!?!?
So...would it even be worth turning in the secondary at this point?
Its also free so nothing really to loseEh.........
IF you have a very strong application and USUHS really wants you, it is still technically possible (I think) to get a super late interview in February. I am pretty sure that all January interview spots haven been filled, but I am not entirely sure. As you know, the class is almost completely full, so you'll be interviewing for a wait-list spot if you get an II. The bright side is that every year, USUHS accepts a bunch of people from the waitlist across all branches.
If you REALLY want to attend USUHS, I would first speak to admissions and ask them what are the chances of getting an interview at this stage.
I would honestly think that you're past the due date. They require AMCAS applications by Nov 15th and secondaries within three weeks of receiving theirs. Assuming you waited until the last day to submit your primary, tomorrow would be three weeks. Think you may be SOL, but if if you still want to, I would submit NOW.So...would it even be worth turning in the secondary at this point?

@cardinal77
My 2 year old niece loves Doc McStuffins (I hadn't even heard of it until 2 weeks ago when she came to visit).
She has a bunny pillow pet that has a gigantic tear (had) in the back and one ear falling off from over love. We performed "surgery" on it and she was super excited. 🙂
Desperately hoping for one of the last acceptances as last year October interviewees did not waitlist. Also hoping for some good news this week as it is officially week 6 and last week seemed kind of slow on acceptances ( at least on sdn) I know there are some fellow October interviewees in a similar position... Good luck guys, we can do it!Just so everyone still waiting for an acceptance is aware, last year this school started the waitlist by 12/12. So the fact that only 15 spots are left is completely normal. I'm betting they fill most (probably all) of those last 15 spots this week and then start the wait list. I didn't interview until 11/13, so I knew going in that the best I should hope for off the bat is to get on the wait list and hope for the best. Lots and lots of movement off of the wait list though so just keep that in mind as we all start to hear back.
Agreed. At least for the MCAT we knew when to expect the scores. I was (mostly) able to put it out of my head until then. This constant feeling of "maybe today, maybe tomorrow, maybe next month" is the absolute worstThis wait is just as, if not more killer than the MCAT wait.![]()
Nothing here
Congrats on the waitlist! My understanding is that you could call admissions to find out.Hey everyone. Just got the waitlist letter today. Interviewed 10/30.
I put AF as #1 and Army #2, but I'm wondering if it is possible to put down both as #1. I would be happy going with either and honestly haven't been able to decide between the two. Any advice on if that's possible?
