How is UCR on post-interview updates? I have some shadowing experience I would like to update them on.

I have been complete since early sept (when i completed the secondary and LOR) and have heard nothing back, at this point I would like to update them with my grades from last semester, but would it even be worth it at this point? And are they receptive to pre interview updates?? Thank you for any help!!

I sent in an email update via e-mail but got no reply. 🙁 Does anyone know when the last interview dates are? February or March sometime?

when did you send an update? I sent one too on Wednesday. No reply. Maybe they're backed up on e-mails? Best of luck

Just got an II this morning and my app has been complete since 9/4. Does anyone know how long it takes to get an answer post-interview?

It varies. Some heard back within a week post-interview. Others are still waiting. Good luck on your interview! It was one of the more relaxed and enjoyable MMI's that I experienced.

just so I understand the UCR app process for post-interviewees: if you're one of the few they really want, you get an acceptance within a month of your interview date? and all the other interviewees are basically "waitlisted" until the end of the cycle?

It's not that simple. They review applicants periodically and select. Just because you were selected later doesn't necessarily constitute they wanted to accept you less. Many of my classmates heard later and are excellent students.

I see. But there are no rejections until the very end of the cycle huh?

has anyone heard from 1/24 interview date?

Guys, I don't think their email works. I sent them 3 emails over the span of about 3 months and they have not replied to a single one. So if you sent them an update, Im not sure they received it. I remember earlier in the cycle I sent 2 other emails that received very prompt responses. Even the update email got a confirmation within couple days.

They seem sporadic with their e-mailing. Maybe try calling? I sent an email and they haven't replied neither. It's been a few weeks.

I just sent an email like last friday, so I was thinking about calling a bit later in the week. Just to be safe. : )

I emailed really early in the cycle like october about significant updates (additional publications and stuff) which led to an II few days after. This is one of the only schools where I believe updates made a difference (but this could be a fallacy where correlation doesn't guarantee causation). Turn around for results was actually surprisingly fast around four weeks.

Yes, but I think they just stopped accepting updates after november. I don't know. I'll give them a call tomorrow morning.

I called this afternoon and they explained that they were really back logged on emails and updates
Okay. They must still have months worth of emails to catch up on now, lol. Bless their hearts.

I actually updated them in December and got an II in January. I can't say for sure if it made a difference; maybe I was going to get an interview regardless? Temple was another school that gave me an II after I sent them an update.

Do you guys think TAing a graduate course at a medical school is worthy of an update?
