Idk if their is a date but I'm certain they have a limit on how much they give out so I think it would depend on how many people applied and how many they already gave out.
 
Has anyone received an interview invite? I sent my secondary in last week, so I'm sure it will take a while if I do end up getting an interview.

You are correct. I took a look back at their confirmation email. Fingers crossed!
 
Anyone else still in the no secondary crowd? IS with LizzyM >75 and Verified Early June 🙁

No secondary here. I just added this school August 2nd though because my husband finally convinced me it was worth a try because of all the amazing job opportunities (and some pending offers already) in the bay area for him. I am not really expecting one though because I am OOS with LizzyM ~72.

I got one OOS with LizzyM=73 and minimal research. Hang in there. 🙂

Thanks! I am actually living in SF for the summer less than a mile from their campus and was so close to changing my mailing address while I'm here just so they would see some sort of tie haha. I guess as long as I don't have a rejection I am still in the game!

As we have concluded in this thread, the first correspondence you will get from UCSF is a secondary invite email (no AMCAS received email). No word yet on if they send rejections emails, I guess that's a possibility for a first email. But hopefully not! 🙂

To my knowledge; there is no primary received email. The first contact from UCSF has been the secondary invitation (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)
 
No secondary here either :/ AMCAS was verified in early June but my letters weren't all uploaded until the end of July. LizzyM ~76, OOS.

From their website:
Letters of Recommendation
We ask applicants who pass the preliminary review to submit 3-5 letters of recommendation, including at least two letters from your instructors.

I'm assuming that LOR's arent a factor in their screen, so it shouldn't matter when your letters were sent in
 
For everyone wondering about if you will still receive a secondary, this is straight from their website, "Typically, you will be notified about submitting a secondary application approximately 3-10 weeks after receipt of your verified AMCAS data."

Then why did some people get them 2 days later?
 
FYI I got a secondary without LORs in, so they do not need those for the screening 🙂
 
anyone know how many secondaries they send out?

It used to be on their website, but maybe they have changed their policy regarding the number of secondaries.

I go to a top IVY league scholl with a GPA of 3.8 and MCAT score of 37. I have multiple first author publications, and I believe I have written a strong primary (spent alot of time on personal statement and activies list).

Do you think the delay means they are still considering giving me one, or just that they have already sent all they will send out to the out of state students?

best call them and ask. No one knowsUCSF timeline that well
 
My verified primary was submitted in early june and I still have not received a secondary. I called the office last week because I was concerned.

The admissions office said not to worry about it because they have a "weird" timeline of reviewing applications and it could take up to 12 weeks. They do send out rejection emails to everyone who is not given a secondary.
 
Hi guys,

I'm new to these boards, but I've been reading this UCSF thread and decided to share my info.
Received a secondary today, I'm OOS, I added UCSF to my primary on 7/30 but verified a bit earlier. I have no idea what's the method to their madness.

Has anyone received said rejection email yet? I was complete 7/1 But still haven't gotten a secondary so I've sort of given up hope on that
 
Does anyone know if UCSF is receptive to in the area emails if one is flying from the east coast?

What do you mean, exactly? I am also from OOS but I was in the area last summer and I emailed them and got to meet with a med student, if that's what you mean. They're very nice.
 
Hey, all!

I joined SDN because I'm driving myself crazy hoping for a secondary. It's almost been a month since I was verified! Wanted to empathize with folks still waiting.
