Have you not seen the entire thread....?Do they really pre-screen? I got a secondary within 30 minutes of being verified.

Look at the post right above your original.perhaps they don't prescreen for MSTPs....looking at the thread, this turn-around time is ridiculous
@Abstractions I just did after I posted that lol
I reeeaaalllllyyyy like this image.
"Another long day slapping primaries," he says to his wife as he settles into his Lazyboy Tank after work.
"Were any of them particularly slappable?" she asks, sitting beside him with a glass of brine.
"A few were really satisfying to slap," he says. "But there was one, a real disaster, that I was making sure to avoid when the tip of my tentacle accidentally brushed it. Blueharbor, I think the name was."
"Everybody makes mistakes. Here, have some brine," she replies, and they watch a rerun of a seahorse ballet together.
Good god I hope we end up at the same medical school.
Until what point are secondaries given out?
Per their website
AMCAS applications indicating MSTP: 558
Secondary applications: 285
Interviewed: 61
Accepted: 12
285/558 = ~51% given secondaries
I decided to add UCSF today, OOS, same LizzyM as their average. Can anyone chime in on how long the screening process takes?
some people were reaaaaally fast (like a dya or 2) while others like myself took a long time (approx a month)
Last year, the first II got sent out on August 30th. I'd say we still have some time to kill.Has anyone received an interview invite? I sent my secondary in last week, so I'm sure it will take a while if I do end up getting an interview.
Well they told us they would get back to us in 4-6 weeks after submitting our secondary, if I am remembering correctly.I hope ints are not like this

Anyone else still in the no secondary crowd? IS with LizzyM >75 and Verified Early June 🙁
I got one OOS with LizzyM=73 and minimal research. Hang in there. 🙂No secondary here. I just added this school August 2nd though because my husband finally convinced me it was worth a try because of all the amazing job opportunities (and some pending offers already) in the bay area for him. I am not really expecting one though because I am OOS with LizzyM ~72.

Not only in the non-secondary crowd here, but they haven't even acknowledged my existence. Primary submitted 6/15. 3.78/35
To my knowledge; there is no primary received email. The first contact from UCSF has been the secondary invitation (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)Not only in the non-secondary crowd here, but they haven't even acknowledged my existence. Primary submitted 6/15. 3.78/35
From their website:No secondary here either :/ AMCAS was verified in early June but my letters weren't all uploaded until the end of July. LizzyM ~76, OOS.
For everyone wondering about if you will still receive a secondary, this is straight from their website, "Typically, you will be notified about submitting a secondary application approximately 3-10 weeks after receipt of your verified AMCAS data."
Keep your fingers crossed! 🙂
Then why did some people get them 2 days later?
Time for a Scrubs marathon!Last year, the first II got sent out on August 30th. I'd say we still have some time to kill.
1500anyone know how many secondaries they send out?
1500
It used to be on their website, but maybe they have changed their policy regarding the number of secondaries.I knew I saw that somewhere. Do you happen to know/have a link? I tried looking on their site and couldn't find it.
Hey,
I am OOS and I am starting to get worried that I'm not going to receive a secondary.
I go to a top IVY league scholl with a GPA of 3.8 and MCAT score of 37. I have multiple first author publications, and I believe I have written a strong primary (spent alot of time on personal statement and activies list).
Does anyone know how likely it is for me to get a secondary if I have not received one yet? Btw, my primary was verified by 2nd week of June.
Do you think the delay means they are still considering giving me one, or just that they have already sent all they will send out to the out of state students?
Should I keep my hopes up?
Does anyone know if UCSF is receptive to in the area emails if one is flying from the east coast?
