I am also in the same boat. Would it be beneficial to contact admissions? In one of their emails, it states that "any questions not related to status can be answered by calling the Admissions Office..." so I'm unsure whether calling would be good.

Well I think it's pretty clear that if you have questions about your status then you should not call them at all. If there are other questions that you have maybe about requirements or courses or something that's just not clear that you need clarity on then you should definitely call them but other than that I wouldn't do itI am also in the same boat. Does anyone know how late Wright State interviews? Thought I might hear from them by now, but it has been silent.
I do not think we set a strict date on when to end interviews, it depends how the whole season has gone, but typically they do go until the spring.
I know I keep saying this on this thread but if you haven't heard anything it does not mean anything at this point. We are still in the process of going through applications. There is a very small group of people who sit and go through every part of every person's application and decide who will get an interview, it is not an automated process by any means, so as you can imagine with so many applicants this takes quite a long time. At BSOM we are very interested in the applicant as a whole, as well as recruiting people who we believe will "fit" with our school and continue to foster the type of laid back and supportive environment that makes Boonshoft unique. Reading through every experience, LOR, and essay is time consuming.
The point I am trying to make on this thread by saying this stuff is please do not be discouraged at this point if you have not heard from our school. Right now this should not be an indicator of anything to you. I do understand that the waiting game is frustrating and stressful but that is just the nature of this whole process because of the sheer volume of applicants.

Anyone aware of the deferred process?
Also, do they accept/look at letters of intent?
I tried looking at their website and just got the gist t
hat we have all been rated and eventually based on these ratings they'll make an wait-list. Does that mean that update letters/letters of intent will not carry much weight? I was even told by someone that he was deferred and never made it on the wait-list. So I'm wondering how much is in my hands at this point.
Literally any clarifications about how it all works out would be gold. Thank y'all in advance 😉[/QUOTE
I know this doesn't help but I have no idea. I would think you could call admissions regarding this. You wouldn't be asking about your status you would just be asking how their process works.

If we interviewed in December, would the 4-6 time span for decisions still be applicable? Or should we expect to hear back later than 6 weeks due to the holiday break?
I think I'm over thinking things lol...

The time factor plays a role for all schools that interview on a "rolling admissions process". I am sure its much harder to get an acceptance at this point in the game as per say if you were interviewing in the early fallHey! Quick question: I know Wright stops interviewing after Feb. Am I at a disadvantage if I interview in Feb? How full is the class currently?
I hope not! Have been holding my breath for more than 4 months now. Silent rejection is very unprofessional in my opinionDoes anyone know if they do silent rejections?
From last years thread, it seems like they sent rejection emails to those who didnt make the cut in mid-late March.I hope not! Have been holding my breath for more than 4 months now. Silent rejection is very unprofessional in my opinion
Yeah I get that. I'm just trying to decide whether interviewing in late January vs. Early Feb makes any sort of difference at this point. Earlier is a bit more expensive for me :-/The time factor plays a role for all schools that interview on a "rolling admissions process". Complete in Sept and II today (Friday)Anyone here received an interview that was complete in September?
No in that case I do not think it will make a difference. Best of luck!!Yeah I get that. I'm just trying to decide whether interviewing in late January vs. Early Feb makes any sort of difference at this point. Earlier is a bit more expensive for me :-/

From my understanding they review interviewees in monthly batches. So they look at everyone who interviewed in January in February, and everyone in February in March. So if it were me I'd try and make the January slot work. But that may just be me 🙂, you obviously have to way out how much extra it will cost you to do that.
Wait-listed today. Holding out hope that changes in the future 🙂 Good luck all!
What cheap hotels are near the school/where did you guys stay?
Did you get an e-mail. Also, if you don't mind sharing what was your mcat and gpa?
Red roof inn is right across the street from the school and is like $59What cheap hotels are near the school/where did you guys stay?
You might be able to find someone to stay with. I did this for a couple of interviews at other schools, and it was nice talking to students before the interview: http://www.med.wright.edu/admiss/home_hearth/
Perfect! Thanks so much!!Red roof inn is right across the street from the school and is like $59
That sounds way too close for comfort.Sorry for all the questions. After the interview, do you guys think I would be able to catch a 6:01 flight? They say the interview ends around 4pm and that the airport is about 40 mins away...any ideas of whether I'd be pushing it or not? Thanks!
My interview day ended at 4:30 so it is cutting it really close. The traffic was bad too going towards ColumbusSorry for all the questions. Okay, yeah I figured, sometimes interviews end earlier than expected so I figured I would ask. The last flight I see out is at 7:40pm. More reasonable? My interview day ended at 4:30 so it is cutting it really close. The traffic was bad too going towards Columbus
How did you find a student host? Cuz I like this idea!I chose to stay an additional night, and flew out the next morning. I've had situations where I had to catch a flight 40-50 mins after an interview day, and I nearly had an asthma attack rushing to the airport.
For Wright, I stayed with a student host (who was awesome btw) the first night, and then I got a hotel near the hotel for the second night.
I found my host on the Wright state website. There was like a list of students I could contact, and that was how I setup the arrangements. How did you find a student host? Cuz I like this idea!

Yeah, I just noticed that. Thanks, y'all! Been super helpful! It's the link I posted.
2/11When is your interview?
Oh okay! Yeah, try to contact someone as soon as possible.2/11

Perfect! Yeah I would be flying out of Dayton! Is Columbus close to Dayton? Cheaper to fly out of?Are you flying out of Dayton or Columbus? If you are flying out of Dayton you should be ok to fly out at 6 (once you get to the airport, which is like 35-40 min theres not a ton of security lines and stuff to go through) and traffic usually isn't bad in Dayton. BUT taking into account unpredictable Ohio weather I might just book that 7:40 one instead just so you're not stressed out about catching your flight throughout your interviews.
