At this time there is no new information. Your letter tells you that you will get more information after everyone has been interviewed and gone through committee. This will happen sometime in April. At the time the actual Alternate List is made you could get one of 4 letters.
1. You have been placed in the TOP Third of the Wait List.
2. You have been placed in the MIDDLE Third of the Wait List.
3. You have been placed in the BOTTOM Third of the Wait List.
4. You have been rejected.

We do understand this is a long process and regret that there is no new information we can tell those of you on the wait list. We do appreciate your understanding and those letters will be sent as soon as we have new information for you.

About how many people are currently on the WL? Or is that confidential?
 
We do not release the number of applicants held on the waitlist, nor your specific number, just the tier that you happen to be in, Top. Middle, or Bottom. Most years we go through the Top of the wait list and often get to the Middle Tier of the wait list. One year we did go down to the Bottom of the wait list. Each year is different and it is nearly impossible to predict how it will play out. We will see a fair amount of turn over in the very beginning and then the list will stabilize. Closer to matriculation when we make offers it is because someone has been offered a spot at another school and will withdraw. Unfortunately we can't predict when that will happen or how many offers that will be. It is as much wait and see for us as it is for you. We do appreciate your position waiting to hear and will make our offers as soon as possible. Any questions just call and ask or post here and I will be glad to help.

They said 6:1 on my interview day as well.
 
Has anyone been taken off the waitlist yet or withdrawing? I'm in the top third and live right by Boonshoft sooo I really want to get in!

Did you get a phone call or email? And did you previously receive snail mail notice you were in the Top Third? I have my fingers crossed over here. 🙂

For anyone that's been accepted c/0 2019, is there a functional Facebook group? The link on WSU says "Content not found". Excited to be going to school here!

I'm going to be a Doctor! I can't believe my acceptance day finally came - was about to start preparing for reapplication, but I don't have to. Thank-you Wright State for seeing my excitement and potential for this rewarding career. And thank-you fellow SDNers for sharing along this long awaited path - you kept me semi-sane 🙂

For those other still-hopefuls out there - I was in the top-tier classification, but more movement is happening! Keep the hope up!
 
Hello Everyone,

I'm consider applying to Wright State. I heard that, for OOS residents, it is easy to establish in Ohio state residency after a year and qualify for instate tuition the rest of your medical education. Is this true at Wright State as well?

There were 3-4 new people added to the Facebook page recently so I'm assuming that they had been on the wait list. Gyngyn is an allopathic adcom member here and will let you know how wait list movement has been if you ask him in the wait list support group thread. He can see where movement has been at all the med schools.

I was offered a seat at Boonshoft, but I will be withdrawing in favor of OUHCOM Dublin. If anyone is curious, I was in the middle third (2/3) of the waitlist, so there has obviously been some movement if they made it to me!

Good luck to everyone waiting on an acceptance, Wright State has a truly wonderful program.
 
Hey, does anyone know if there is a facebook group for the class of 2019? I just got taken off the wait list Friday and accepted the offer and I am looking for roommates. If anyone has a link for the group that would be great!!

Just wanted to restate that Boonshoft is awesome. I am here for the prematriculation program(which is well worth it). I can't wait to meet the rest of you all when you join us for the official start of school.

Everything you saw on interview day is real and actually even better. The people here are awesome. We are in good hands.🙂
