Yep I realize this.I would avoid going outside of the 500-1,000 character lengths in the essays..at all costs.

So is the research essay truly optional? But if you have done research probably highly recommended?
Is there truly no character limit at all given for the open-ended additional information essay? Pre-writing here.
Fair enough. Thanks for the info.It doesn't give a character limit but I would be surprised if you had that much additional information that your essay was more than 1000 characters...
For the secondary, will the university track committee be able to read my college track answers and vice versa? I'm wondering because I feel that my university track answers are really strong because I pre-wrote them, whereas my college track ones are still good, but not as good as my university track ones.
For the research secondary essay (for this school or in general), are you guys citing sources for background info?
I'm wondering this as well. Has anyone cited sources? Would you guys consider in-text citations to be sufficient or also a small entry at the bottom as well?
Thanks in advance.
It just feels odd to say stuff without citing lolDefinitely haven't cited my sources so far. Wouldn't expect them to check for something like that whatsoever.
I wrote it without citations and it feels...dirty. I don't think I can bring myself to submit without citations. It just feels odd to say stuff without citing lol
Same! I'm uncomfortable lolI wrote it without citations and it feels...dirty. I don't think I can bring myself to submit without citations.
still no secondary for me..verified 6/4 and this is my top choice! Come on Case you're killin me
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you only write essays for the track you're considering. For example, I plan to apply only to the CT track, so I didn't pre-write any of the UT essays.Hey guys, I am about to start prewriting my Case essays. If we are applying to both the UT and the CT, are there two applications or just one? If we are doing just CT, do we need to do all of the UT + 3 others for CT? Thanks.
Also, for the research question: what if we have worked on two significant, yet different projects? Does it make sense to talk about both individually?

I understand the college track requires some sort of research experience. That being said, I highly doubt the research essay will be optional in any way. I'm sorry
The research essay for university track (#6 on the application) is followed by "If you are applying to the College and MSTP tracks, please indicate this in the box below in place of the full essay." So we don't do this essay if applying to college track or MSTP? I don't really see a similar question required for the College track, so it seems weird that we would just not have to answer this prompt.
Try a thumbnail of the photo u are trying to upload. Or take a screenshot of it to reduce qualityIs anyone else finding it impossible to get a photo less than 100kb? I know this is optional, but I have a photo available. It's just like 20x that memory.
Put the photo on Facebook, then download it from there and it should be small enough. Worked for me.Is anyone else finding it impossible to get a photo less than 100kb? I know this is optional, but I have a photo available. It's just like 20x that memory.
I described only one project, since you have so much to talk about. So pick your favorite, or the one you can talk most about. If you did multiple mini projects, discussed the overarching goal of the lab and what those mini projects were all collectively meant to do. Hope this helps! So what are your thoughts on describing multiple research projects?
Does anyone know the stats for the College Track on how many apply/interview/accepted? I was looking on their website and I couldn't find any numbers
Question. So I'm assuming that the GPA and MCAT given on the MSAR for Case are for both UT and CT. I called the admissions office and the lady said she she was not sure. She told me to email the dean of admissions but I haven't gotten a response yet. Does anyone know if there is data that gives the average GPA and MCAT for only UT students? I would imagine including the CT students brings the numbers up slightly.
I would assume all of MSAR information is a combination of both because on the CASE website, it says the average entering class size for the University Program is 140. But on MSAR is says that the entering class size is 207. So I think it is a combination of UP, CT, and MSTP for all of the information.
That's what I figured. I just wonder how much including the CT kids increases the reported average gpa/mcat. Cuz I might feel a little better about my chances if I knew the average mcat for just UT kids lol.
