So am I but I think that means they are still considering us highly so I would take it as good news 🙂 since other people have already been held for interview decisions
What does it mean "held for interview decision." ?
It means they will re-review the application at a later date once more applications have been submitted. Basically, they want to compare the application to more applications before they decide on whether or not to give an interview.
Legitimate thought I had: Calling admissions from another phone number, and asking when they would be releasing interview dates...

Does that mean nobody has received a rejection yet?
I have no idea. I would assume with the first batch of interview invites they would have a few rejections since it is one of the possibilities after they review your app but I honestly have no idea how MSU does it. If you are waitlisted though fear not because my friend got off the waitlist a week before classes started this year!

I started following the MSU CHM Admission's twitter and I haven't heard anything since their post last Friday saying "Interview Invites would be going out shortly." Was worried that maybe people got them and they didn't post on SDN
I think now that school has started for them we'll start hearing movement on them by next week at least. Maybe tomorrow if we are lucky!
Quick question does this school prescreen or do they send a secondary invite to every applicant?

Yup, I think "Interview Invites would be going out shortly" means a few days, not a few weeks. MUST BE PATIENT, not one of my strengths.
Still under review since mid july. I'm hoping thats good news. But yes waiting is killing me haha

Just checked the 2013-2014 thread. First interviews went out on 9/6/2013. AHHHHHHH
9/13 the year before that. We may have more of a wait, guys.
IIRC, they sent them out during late August last year. I think we should expect to hear something this week (hopefully!)

Secondary submitted 7/16, but last letter from MSU prof didn't get into system until 7/21, so maybe that is the complete date.

600 some get interviews. Class size is 190. 95 on each campus.

There was not! I actually checked like 20 times last night and like 5 more times this morning and it was still "Forwarded for Preliminary Review 7/23". I'm sure yours will come soon!
Same!! Apparently another wave is coming out this morning! I wish they didn't select the day for us though- coming in the middle of the week isn't exactly ideal. Oh well, not complaining!!!
Agreed. I have a date in the middle of the week as well with a work conflict 🤔. I'm worried about taking my chances with requesting a reschedule, though....
