Yeah I'm having the same problem. Maybe they'll figure it out some time this week, and if not, we can email them about it.

I didn't have to enter my DOB on the form, do I have the wrong one? My form says "Acknowledgement form- Resident" Please tell me that is the same form that everyone else received lol

We got two forms, and the Student Registration one asks for the DOB. If it isn't up by tomorrow or the day after, I'd give them a call just to check.

I'm going to call them tomorrow about the DOB problem. This is a new system for them, so it's just a technical error with the new system 🙂

You just put your two digit birth year and it works

Congratulations to you all on the acceptances so far and those that you will receive in the future! It's always great to have options, so please don't hesitate to message me or other current A&M students if you need help on your decision of "why A&M" and picking it versus different schools. Many of us were in the same (fortunate) position last year having difficulty deciding amongst ranking the schools, and would love to help you one way or the other (I understand other schools may be a better fit as well, so I wish you all the best either way!). Congratulations again! You all are going to be doctors, be proud of yourselves!

Bummed I wasn't offered an early offer, but I'm clinging on to the hope that I'll be more fortunate during the match! It's slightly nerve-wracking knowing that the school has extended this many early offers though.

Congrats to all who've been accepted here and elsewhere in TX!! You really can't go wrong at any of our schools.

I feel you! Very disheartening considering they send out like 200 prematch offers, I must have really ****ed up my interview.

I know I did lol, being my first interview and all I was stupidly nervous and made some dumb remarks.
Haha its all good, I have a beard and the first guy I interviewed with it did not find it professional(I'm 28 by the way and have a professional looking beard, not all spotty or unkempt like some guys). He just didn't seem to like me in general.

Greatest moment of my life when I opened that email!

pre-matched today at 4:41

3.6 , 30, non-trad, ORM.

So grateful they saw who I really am on my interview day and were willing to give me a chance!

For the people that will read this thread next cycle... feel free to msg me in any and all things related to being old or having red flags on your app.

I wasn't lucky enough to get a pre-match offer. A&M is basically my top choice at the moment. So I know a lot of offers were extended on Sunday. Can we expect more offers this week? Or is it just a large amount of acceptances on Nov 15, and then another larger number in Dec, or do they trickle in every week? But a big congrats to everyone who got an offer, hopefully we will be classmates at A&M (crosses fingers)!

I called this morning and it looks like the early offers have already been made, but based on how those applicants respond, they may or may not extend another small batch next month! She also said they were fairly conservative with prematch offers, so my guess/intuition is that not all hope is lost!

Congratulations to all who have received an acceptance! We're excited to have some of you joining us next year! Like osteo said earlier, feel free to message me and any other current students if you have questions! We're on here to help you!

For those who have not gotten that magic email, don't let this make you lose a step: the majority of offers go out during match, so there's nothing to worry about. Not getting a pre match means nothing in the light of your entire career. Stay the course.

Sorry for the late notification! I called earlier this morning and they said they would look into it and fix the glitch in the DOB thing. I went in about 30 minutes ago and it works now. Just open up the calendar and select your birthdate; it will put it in the correct format without slashes now! 🙂

What's the chance that OOSers will get pulled from the waitlist? Or can we expect to hear back later in the cycle if we didn't hear in this first round of acceptances?

Were you explicitly waitlisted? Or did you just not receive a decision?

I also received a pretty substantial scholarship offer from Texas A&M this morning so they are handing them out.

How old are we talking here?

Did you accept your offer on the portal before receiving that scholarship offer?

So when I interviewed, I did so at the Temple campus and I am relatively unfamiliar with the Bryan campus. Would any current students care to comment on cost of living?

Also, I am fed up with living in an apartment and would like to rent a home. How is the availability, cost, and commute if I were to go this route instead of an apartment?

Current student and Aggie undergraduate to the rescue. Cost of living? Cheapest I've seen anywhere. You can live right next to campus with a roomie for like $800 a month, or you could live in Bryan for around $300-$400 a month, or be like me and live in a super nice place 10 minutes down the road for around $500 a month (with lawn, cable, internet included) with 3 roommates.

Homes in Bryan or College Station are constantly being rented out and most on the cheap. No matter where you live, you won't be more than 15 minutes from the HSC. It's all amazingly convenient

Man that is such a relief to hear. I have lived so frugally most of my life and I just want to be as comfortable as possible during medical school.

I know some schools have realtors or consultants that help students get housing set up, is this something going on at A&M? And do you think looking for housing is something I should start doing now or wait until after the holidays or spring semester?

I am really impressed that you can handle your classes and keep posting to this thread/answer our questions. That speaks a lot.

Can anyone comment on what the latest date A&M has filled interviews up to? Or what dates are left?

Your student loans will provide you with enough money to live quite the comfortable life style as long as you aren't frivolous with your money. College Station is a cheap place to live, and the education is a bargain. You will not have to count pennies if you go here, just so long as you're not going out every night of every weekend (though Northgate is great and their drink speciaks better) and never cooking at home.

Don't worry about housing just yet. Undergrads are still in their places, and won't be worrying about new ones till around March. There's more of them than us, so most places you'll have to pester them for a lease starting in July, but there will be plenty of housing. Do not stress over it, you'll have your pick.

I appreciate you saying so! It's been a bit of a slower week, and I'm glad I've been able to help you all. You'll find many of my classmates are the same and want to help those coming after us.
