None of your business.
Lol jk, I got the "Under Review" email on September 22.
I just got a secondary invite today after submitting my primary 6/15.
I just assumed I had been rejected because of low stats so I'm happy but I'm also wondering if I even have a shot. It's pretty late in the game considering they've started interviewing already. I'm assuming everyone's secondary invite says "Based on a thorough review of your AMCAS application, we believe that you may be a good fit to our program" but it does have me thinking that they might have taken a more careful look at my app...idk.
I would complete it. Many of my peers interviewed as late as March/AprilI just got a secondary invite today after submitting my primary 6/15.

I recently said this to someone else but when it comes to assessing if you should do a secondary or not, unless you have assurances that you will be soundly rejected (like applying to an in-state only school) or already have an acceptance to an institution you are comfortable with, I believe you should do as many secondaries as you possibly can. I and many of my peers could not have predicted where we got interviews to and where we would ultimately be accepted to. Personally for me, I did not think I had a chance at all to get into UCR, but I gave it my all on the secondary. Something to think about. Always have that attitude that you have a shot and give it your absolute best on that secondary.I just got a secondary invite today after submitting my primary 6/15.

I have only gone twice so kind of. I'm not an officer thoughJust curious, are you part of RFC?
Call admissions to see what they sayCan we send in more letters of recommendation after the November 2nd deadline?
Anyone know if any acceptances have gone out yet?
I do, and I'm pretty sure it has been like that since I submitted my secondary. When I login to my portal, there is a line that says Interview, but instead of a green checkmark there is a lock. Does everyone have this?
It's an amazing program. From my understanding you don't need to take the mcat and you are guaranteed admission before the admission cycle starts.Hi, sorry if this isn't the right place to write this, but does anybody have any idea about the upcoming UCR Early Assurance Programs for undergrads? They are holding info sessions starting next week, but as it stands I can't find any info about it. Apart from rsvp'ing for the sessions.
Cool, it's great that my school is leading the charge in handling the Inland Empire's primary doctor disparity. I mean, really, I have to make an appointment a month or two in advance just to see my GP in my local clinic. It's what made me realize that I want to be a doctor and spurred me into using UCR's pre-health resources. I imagine that the program would choose 5 or 10 students a year, but everyone at the advising center is being very hush-hush about it.It's an amazing program. I wanted to ask you you all received an "application complete" email from UCR? I submitted late July and wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy.
Thanks! 🙂

ACCEPTED!!! I'm stocked. HOORAY
Does anyone know if the class size was approved to be expanded?
Have any UCR alumni received interview invitations yet?
If you think the secondary fee is them just "trying to collect your money" because it would make such a difference in budget then I would re-evaluate. You are incorrect about non inland empire resident number in the class. In addition, unless you already have an acceptance to a school of your choice then it's always worth it to fill out something. Medical school is not an entitlement. I can't stand this way of thinking.Just received a secondary here. Not sure if it's even worth it to fill it out at this point with so few spots offered for non-inland empire residents. However, I am an instate resident who lived in Los Angeles for 4 years.
What do you guys think? Are they just trying to collect my money?

No worries I wasn't offended. But I have helped people in the past and they would say at times "is it even worth it" and it's always worth it. I never expected to go to UCR and now I am here. It's less than half the class for the UCR alumni. Never feel discouraged put your best secondary forward send in updates and keep going. I had a friend take 4 years to get into medical school - perseverance is the best trait for app cycle. Good luck!Sorry if I offended you. I have no sense of entitlement. Sorry if I sounded like I had one. Got rejected to 26 schools last year haha.
I don't have any acceptances to allopathic schools yet so I will be filling this out! As an epidemiology student, not liking the statistics for here. 25 non-alum seats out of 6000 applications is quite daunting.
Also I meant non-UCR alum. From what I understand, they reserve half the class for UCR alum.
When does UCR typically reject post-secondary?
