Hello All,

I'm new here and am applying this cycle as an IS student. I have been on a couple tours and symposiums with my pre-health club and found it to be a really welcoming environment. UMass is definitely my #1 choice and wish you all good luck.

P.S.- ridethecliche, are you also an STP fan?

By school residency standards, zero years. College doesn't count, and my parents left MA less than a year after I was born. However, they talked about it constantly, taught me to drive like a New Englander, and visited relatives in MA frequently. Whenever my mom so much as watches a movie with Boston accents, she gets a bit of one herself! She heard me say war-chest-er once, and the rest of the car ride home was spent practicing the proper New England pronunciation of the towns we passed on our way out of the state. I went to college there specifically because visiting MA, to me, feels like coming home. I can't explain it.

II!! Submitted 7/29

Although I'm a little confused about how they just give you a date...I have another interview the day before that. I hope they'll let me move this one!
 
II, OOS. Heading over there October 29! I just looked at the MSAR and I noticed not many people apply here. It is a very good school so I am surprised.
 
Has anyone who applied after the 25th heard back yet?

Congrats!! I hope you manage to work out the scheduling issue. Just curious, are you IS or OOS?
 
can you all post your stats if you've gotten an II, especially if you are OOS 🙂 thanks!

Those numbers probably just reflect the fact that, until this year, only MA residents could apply. That and the fact that their qualifications for MA residency are so strict. It is a great school!

Side note: any IS IIs?

I am just submitting my secondary today since I had some residency validation stuff to sort out. Is this very late?? I am IS but this school is definitely a long shot given my stats (3.2 cGPA, 3.5 sGPA, 29).

You'll be fine. You're on the tail end of on time submission.
 
Did anyone else get a message after submitting that said "You have previously submitted your supplemental application and no further changes can be made online" ?? Did I accidentally submit while I was in the middle of editing? I don't have a confirmation/received email… help!
 
Got a II! Complete 8/26 LizzyM 72 In state.

Though the real weed out process is the MMI I think. Over 1/2 of in state applicants are invited to interview.
 
I submitted everything the first week of August (and wrongfully assumed I was complete due to the checklist being all good, oops haha) and just got a complete email today.

What was the time between submission and getting a complete email for you guys? (and then II if you have one!)

I was complete mid July and just got the same email. I think it more means that we are now under review?
 
ok so I got an II weeks ago and just got a second complete email...come on umass
 
If you don't mind me asking, when did you receive your first complete email from them relative to when you got your II?

Same, submitted mid July and didn't got a complete/under review email until just now.

Same here. I completed my interview and got a complete email for my app.

I checked again and realized that apparently I never got a complete email, I just got a payment confirmation (which I accidentally counted as a complete email) and then an II. Although my submission was the last part since my letters were already in, so it was pretty much "complete" as soon as I submitted.
 
Anyone know what this school is looking for in OOS applicants? Super high stats?

I called about something else and this email came up. Apparently it was nothing, some error that just sent complete emails to people who were already complete.

I am IS and submitted around 8/15 and am still waiting for an II too. I heard this school is relatively slow with processing applications.
