I just got the e-mail for further consideration this Wednesday 😢😢. At this rate, this is virtually a rejection within a month...

This is my AMCAS in a nutshell: VCU leaves my application to collect dust for 5 months, only to tell me they need further review after reading it. To quote Kanye West, "how could you be so heartless!?"

Despite it all, I still wanna go here... I am starting to think that I have Stockholm syndrome for VCU....

Hey, a few of us who got a May or Further status last week ended up with IIs within a few days. There's still hope!
 
Tomorrow is the day...Wondering if I should even get my hopes up after they passed on me during the last round of acceptances...either way fingers are CROSSED and anxious in anticipation. Good luck to all! Will be checking this page often tomorrow.
 
Think they'll get notices out as planned tomorrow? Since they only email good news, it could be quite painful if they delay for a while without letting us know.

Tonight?!? Why does that suddenly seem like such a long time to wait?!?
 
I did not receive an acceptance on 12/15. Since then, I have been fortunate to be able to update them with a 4.0 semester and a publication. However, I am super scared about today because if I do not gain an acceptance after these updates I can't think of how their minds will be changed. Sooooo nervous
 
Has anyone who interviewed mid-January gotten a post-interview survey or post-interview hold status yet? My portal still talks about my interview date. I wasn't sure whether the winter storm may have gotten things backed up a bit.

I interviewed Jan 19 (I believe) and I got both the survey and the hold. I do think the snow probably slowed them down a bit but I also think the speed at which your application moves through the application process is entirely dependent on your interviewer. Best of luck!!
 
So.. for those of us passed over last decision date... how likely is it that we hear today? :/

Do we know if this ever really happens? I have friends who got in in March last year so I assume that means they were originally passed over, but haven't heard of anyone so far this year.
 
I really hope we don't have the same thing that happened last time and we have to wait an extra 2 days.

I had an exam, and started with a new teacher, and had to arrange travel plans for another interview (I'm currently living in Guatemala, so this is more of a hassle than usual). And the entire time I kept lamenting the lack of smartphones here because I couldn't check my email constantly. Normally I love it, but today...

Haha, thanks...not planning on getting pregnant so it doesn't affect me (also we don't have mosquitoes where I'm at) but it'd suck to be *that person* who brought it back to the US since you may not even have symptoms.

They really cluster them that quickly? We've only seen one acceptance on here, maybe they just haven't gotten through them all yet? #stillhoping
 
Got an email about status update-- it says my file is now complete?!?!?! I'm so confused... I thought I was complete awhile back 🙁

"The Admissions Committee has met to discuss your file. Your application is being placed on hold for possibleacceptance at a later date. We anticipate making offers around October 16, December 15, February 1, and March 16. If any of these dates falls on a weekend the offers will be made on the following Monday. Only offers of admission will be made on the dates above.

Your profile will remain on hold, and you will receive no further communication from us concerning your hold status. The next status change you will be contacted about will be to offer you a position in the class, to notify you that you have been placed on the alternate list (the alternate list is formulated in late-March), or to notify you that the Committee will no longer be considering your file.

We thank you for your interest in our school."

Does anyone recall from their interview date about how many people get called off the waitlist for in state?
