yeah I got the "may" status right before their alleged last interview day. not ascribing too much meaning to it.

Most likely we will be the back ups in case too many acceptees withdraw. Albany Med does something similar.

Oh well... I am so saddened that they gave me so much hope for absolutely nothing... I had so much expectations for VCU... 🙁
 
For people who interviewed back in oct/nov is there even a shot at waitlist right now after being passed over so many times?
 
got the 'may' status just now... not really gonna expect it to amount to anything

i thought they were done with interviewing!!???

Yeah. Most of the class comes in off the waitlist, so that means most of the class was passed over many times

Has anyone not received a hold status who interviewed the second week of February? Debating on whether or not I should call the office and check in. *one more week!!!!*
 
I know it has been addressed a couple times before but where have people sent update letters to? General email or someone specific?

they never responded to my emails, but I think I saw somewhere on their website that they accept updates.

from the VCU website: "The only updates that we accept are grades from courses that were completed after an application was submitted and academic publication material that was published after an application was submitted. We do not accept letters of interest."

I interviewed Feb 10 and have only gotten a portal update to do the survey

This gives me hope, can I ask where you heard this? do you have any estimates on what percentage of the class comes from the waitlist?

The students at the interview and the dean of admissions. They said that they only make 100 instate and 100 out of state offers before they start pulling from the waitlist (they aim to have 100 IS and 100 OOS students).

More people end up getting pulled from the OOS waitlist because more OOS students turn down the acceptance
 
Has anyone who recently got the "may interview" status gotten a II>
 
Does anyone know what time they send out acceptances? We r suppose to hear back this Wednesday!

Is it possible to not hear anything today? Or do all decision types (accept, reject, wait list) go out around 6:30 pm?

Had a dream I didn't get in and couldn't sleep the rest of the night...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that only acceptances go out today. VCU doesn't start a waitlist until after today.

I called admissions yesterday and they said that portal updates would occur today after 6 (I know I usually get updates around 6:30pm).

From what I've seen from last year's thread, acceptances and rejections went out on this date. But if you didn't hear anything on this date, you'd be put on th waitlist a few days later.

Fingers crossed!!!

So that means if I get an email in my inbox tonight, it might not be a good thing. :-/
 
What's something to do for 4.5 hours to get my mind off this... Already took a nap so I can't do that anymore.
