I never sent a letter of intent. I was always sure to talk about some sort of new development in an email instead since the school says they don’t care for LOI’s.

It’s been over a week since they sent an email asking us to update our waitlist status. I was hoping we’d hear by now. Maybe tomorrow!

I apologize, but I never remember if you are OW or JB. I’m JB.

OW has a longstanding history so I doubt there would be any issues or concerns with their sites. Can’t say for sure, I just took my last exam of first year and it isn’t my largest concern anyhow. An OW student could speak more to them specifically.

As for JB (which is the one I’m assuming you’re looking at since you mentioned adding more) I believe we have a decent variety of environments with which to do rotations. Memphis, Little Rock, and Fayetteville are not Chicago or even St. Louis (though much closer to the latter) but you can still get some good ER exposure to the type of things you might see. Rural locations are easily covered through existing sites in my mind. Jonesboro and the above cities cover a lot of environments in between.

Of course the idea of adding more sites is a good thing and something to look forward to. Figure that can only benefit us.

I don’t understand any flack. Haven’t seen it and wouldn’t get it. We have a class going out this year so look forward to feedback. Doesn’t help now but hey, that’s a little of the risk with a new site I suppose.

Not sure I helped, but if it is worth it I wasn’t (and still am not) too worried about the quality. I’ve met a few of our preceptors from the smaller sites and like them. Love NEA and St. Bernard’s so far so I am excited to spend time there. Memphis has Baptist Memorial which is pretty good sized. I think it’ll be a great time, but that’s just my opinion. Granted I’ve already paid tuition so I might as well be positive about it haha. Still, I truly do not think we will be wanting for anything else, save for a rotation site like a Chicago ER - but then again, good luck finding a substitute for that.

I also got accepted to OW yesterday! gpa 3.75 mcat 504, interviewed in Jan. It seems like waitlist movements began!

Yeah. I didn’t use the nyit id that was provided on the acceptance email. I used the “search” option when setting up the password for the portal. Hope that helps.

I had to actually contact IT because I wasn’t able to access the portal. Definitely get in touch with them in order to fix your issue.

In the accepted student email, there should be a link to a welcome page with the information to send your deposit, etc. Part 4 is the DPC application that you fill out and email back to them.

Hey waitlist people! I was one of the late July admits from last year so I just wanted to say don’t lose hope! Also I received my acceptance call at like 5:30 PM ET so don’t dump your phone if it’s after 5. Good luck!

At this point are we to expect a phone call or an email if we are accepted off the waitlist?
 
Did anyone get an acceptance today? People here have been reporting acceptances pretty much every Friday, but haven't seen any yet today.

So for me I got a call asking if I was still interested in a spot, I said yes, and I was was told if I was chosen I’d receive an email. The day I was accepted I got a call and while I was talking to them I got the email. I’d definitely say as we get closer to orientation you’re probably more likely to get a call since it becomes a time crunch.

Lots of keyboards, but the stylus options are limited to the kind that mimics your finger instead of being like an Apple Pencil.

I think it was early last week....and that was the second email I received in the past few weeks
