Declining my acceptance offer. Hope it goes to one of you! Best of luck to all!
Has anyone else emailed Dr. Morris LOI, updates, TYLs, etc and not get a response? I'm ok with getting no response, but (on the other hand) my emails may be going into her spam folder
I just uploaded updates to the online portal
+1 letter of interest uploaded to the portal. Interviewed in September.
Does anybody know if interviews are done?
Pretty sure there's one or two dates in March
I think email is fine. I emailed mine (from a .edu address) and although she did not respond to my email at all she let my advisor know she had received it!
Does anyone know if they're still interviewing/sending ii?
Interviewed 01/24 and placed in acceptance range today!
Aw, I'm sorry, but it looks like you've got a handful of acceptances! So, congrats soon-to-be Dr.
I think on Wednesday they said they had two more: 3/2 (today) and then one more after that next week. Could very well have heard that wrong, but sounds like next week they are wrapping up.
congrats!! when you expressed interested and sent in a letter of interest, where did you send it too? i am also on the acceptance range and will take any help I can get!
After the interview (and before finding out about my "acceptance range" status), I sent an email to Dr. Morris that expressed strong interest and explained why I thought I was a good fit for the program (tbh it was actually kinda heartfelt haha, Tulane was my favorite program of all the schools I interviewed at). I never received any confirmation that it was received, so after being placed in acceptance range I uploaded a similar letter of interest to my portal. I also included some updates in the letter. Hope this helps, and good luck to everyone still waiting for a final decision!!
Any 2/1/18 folks hear anything yet?
I really hope that there is a lot of waitlist movement here. This uncertainty of what my future holds has grown tiring.
Is there a way to withdraw on the secodnary site or do you have to email?
I interviewed at Tulane 1/19 (was supposed to interview 1/16 but got moved due to weather). I haven't heard anything and don't know where to look for the "acceptance range,".. is anyone in same boat? Is not being rejected 3-5 weeks after interview a good sign?
People who have not yet been invited for interviews and have not been rejected either, is there even any chance at this point? Are there any interview days left?
Finally rejected pre-interview invite yesterday via email. I was complete in July.
Anybody who sent updates get confirmation that those were received?
Nope. I uploaded my update to the portal and never received anything.
I called and they are done with interviews. The lady really didn't know when the decisions would likely go out, but just thought I would share Stay Strong All!
Anyone here get of the waitlist in the past week or so and forgot to post about it?
Tulane is quickly becoming my last hope to become a doctor this year. I loved the school and thought I fit well.
Does anyone recommend sending in a LOI?
anyone know the most recent date that has heard back? I'm end of January and anxiously awaiting news! Also, do people hear e-mail or snail mail?
All communication was through email for me!
I just heard back via email! Interviewed Jan 19
Finally got the pre-II rejection. Complete in August.
So I’m guessing we won’t be hearing back anything else from Tulane this week?
Going through last years thread it looks like this was the week where the last round of acceptances came out before April 30. So if they do it similarly this year there should be multiple days this week where people hear. Though take that with a grain of salt because it does seem odd that they wouldn't continue giving out acceptances through March and April...maybe people just weren't posting.
Is there any financial aid to do here besides FAFSA?
also heard back this morning through email!!
Were you accepted?
Just received the pre-II rejection email.
I was accepted! Excited!
Since it's now March 16. I'm guessing Tulane has already offered acceptances to their expected number of seats available going by amcas protocol.
Come on Tulane. You're my only hope!
2018 match results are up if anyone's interested. As someone said before Tulane seems like people go into residencies all over the country, which I think is pretty cool.
yes i was as well!
Anyone who interviewed jan 31 hear back yet?
I interviewed 2/1 and am straight up going insane. Not a word.
I interviewed around the same time and haven't heard either!
So March 15 is the date that all schools were required to send out acceptances equal to the number of seats that they have. It seems like those interviewed after January 19 were basically fighting for a waitlist then?
This is not the case, because of yield.
March 15th: School X with 100 seats needs to have sent 100 acceptances. But School X will surely send more than 100 total acceptances, unless it thinks it can attain a 100% yield.
I guess a school could send acceptances equal to seats, then waitlist a bunch of people and draw a ton from the waitlist later. If you figure a school needing to accept 2.5x the number of seats they have, drawing 150 from the waitlist seems really high. But that is not what the March 15th date implies.
Then does this mean that they won't tell us our decisions unless people start yielding their acceptances? Unless of course it's an obvious rejection....
This is a really impressive match list!
