Seems like it was a quiet day for everyone today... I got a call from a SLC number earlier with a voicemail... turned out to be a wrong number

Seems like a lot of people got their acceptance/waitlist nofitication on the 14th according to last year's SDN thread. Way nervous!!!

Any Idaho applicants have any updates? Been pretty quiet from us on here so far.

Fellow Idahoan here. Nothing to report, sadly. This morning has been a bucket of nerves for me. Doesn't look like anything's going to happen. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Anything happen for anyone this morning?

That seems to be the consensus on here: "early morning" until about 10am? I remember at the interview people saying Dr. Chan likes to call in the morning, but I don't know what that means.

No, they really don't. It's easy to look for trends in days and times here on SDN but the reality is that the calls go out when Dr. Chan has time, regardless if it's early or late in the business day or regardless of the day of the week. I got mine on a Friday afternoon. So stop staring at your phone!!! I know it's hard, but all of you here are future doctors. If you want it this bad now, you'll want it this bad next year and the year after. Keep your head up and stay away from the screen.

Of everyone I know applying I've only heard of one Idaho acceptance so far and from what I know this individual will be going to another school.
 
I haven’t heard of any OOS acceptances yet, but I’m sure there’s been a few offers not posted on SDN. Good luck to all of us OOS kids tomorrow!

Another fellow Idahoan here. Haven't heard anything since my interview in early October. Before the class Facebook group went secret, I did some creeping and saw about 4 or 5 Idaho acceptances. I'm just hoping to be waitlisted at this point :dead:
 
So is March 15th some sort of AMCAS deadline where schools have to let students know what's going on or was all of that in my head?

“By March 15 of the matriculation year, each school or program have issued a number of offers of acceptance at least equal to the expected number of students in its first-year entering class and have reported those acceptance actions to the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS).” - https://www.aamc.org/download/364264/data/2014trafficrules.pdf

Technically, these are "recommendations" that the AAMC makes to schools, not hard rules. For example, one school I applied to has decided it wants to interview applicants through April.....*glares moodily*. But historically, I think Utah has done a very good job adhering to the "rules." Though anything's possible, I suppose. There's that friggin' optimism again, cooing in my ear that just because a call hasn't come today doesn't mean it won't come tomorrow....

Long time lurker. I’m the same boat as you all, waiting to hear. About 8 years ago (albeit several years), my brother (got accepted his second applicant year) was rejected at the beginning of April his first attempt at Utah so although this wasn’t recent, they may keep us all hanging just in case a seat opens for any reason. Just hang in there!
 
Has anyone tried calling to see if decisions are actually going out today? Maybe they're running a little behind?
 
Dr. Chan notified the fbook page that they will begin letting applicants know whether they were rejected or placed on the alternate list and be done with that by tonight. Sounds like calls are finished for now but look for the email around 4:30 this afternoon if this is anything like the last couple of years! Good luck everyone!
