If you have the tabs, you're accepted but the emails go out tomorrow morning. The system is ahead of the emails.

Meh I'm guessing the portal won't update until tomorrow. But I feel like they are going to rush going through this last batch of apps if they really want to finish them today.

The matriculation form isn't binding. You have until Apr 30th to decide on one school.

we stay on the list for every decision date and if we don’t get an offer on any of the dates then it’s either waitlist or rejection at the end of March so yes there’s still hope!!

Earlier in the thread there was mention final subcommittee reviews would be complete today.

I would fill it out because it asks questions that make me think they use it for scholarship consideration. I.e. they may be less likely to give a scholarship to someone who is already using their GI Bill to pay for school... unfortunately.

Subcommittee reviews are not the final stage before interview offers. There are still invite spots to be handed out, but not until after Jan 1

It is not a concern. Your application proceeds as it should, regardless of what is says on your portal. I’m not certain why some have experienced a no-change in portal status; all subcommittee reviews are finished. PM me and I’ll look for you if you are concerned.

If your final priority ranking is good, there is a high likelihood of receiving an offer. Unlike a lot of institutions, VCU is very conservative with how they make offers.....so don't give up just yet.

I had the status for about 9+ weeks before getting an II, if that helps! And it was via phone call, with various dates including the same week I got the call.

I've been at the "very interested" status since the last week of October (as a couple people from the group have been). I was wondering if it would be a good idea to send a letter of interest in the program, just to say that I am still interested in the program and mention specifics (sort of like a why VCU type essay). I also hear they are done handing out interview is that true? Thank you!

Adding on to this. Is an update letter combined with a letter of interest/reaffirmation of why vcu acceptable? Or just a letter of interest in general

Letters of interest are unnecessary, particularly before interview invites. VCU knows you are very interested by the very fact of your primary and secondary applications, which you paid money to submit.
