Are there still spots for interviews? Or has this season closed?

At present, I'm not aware of a research mandate for all MD students (though it is very highly recommended for all students to get some research in, and most do). Are you talking about the MD/PhD program?

There are certainly still spots left for interviews. I'm running interviewee tours sometime between now and early March, and my interview was in early February last year!
 
I'm really hoping people withdraw their interviews so more spots open up!

Should I be concerned if my portal status hasn't changed at all? It still says I will be reviewed by the subcommittee, but I thought they finished meeting a while ago.

Will all of those slots go to applicants with the “very interested” status, or are there less than 67 of those? Is it possible that some of those slots may go to some applicants with the “Your file review is now complete. If you are granted an interview...” status as well?

Earlier in the thread dean mission said that all applicants have been reviewed by their subcommittees by this point, regardless of message on the portal

You know, something I'm wondering is how many people have that "very interested" status.

I got a call but missed it (Was in an underground lab) left them a breathless voicemail and then checked my phone to find an email!
I was complete early august and have had Very Interested since around November?

No portal change for me as of yet 🙂

Okay, thanks for letting me know! I was complete/have had the VI status since around the same time frame as you and narutoverse13. I recently got a new phone number, but my applicant portal still has my old number. I'm hoping for an II email! Congrats again!

Sorry to bug you, but was the number an 804-828 number? I got a missed call from the 804 earlier today but they didn't leave a voicemail so I'm not sure if it's just spam

Earliest date available was in March, just as Dean Mission mentioned a while ago:clap:
 
I didn't receive an offer in December and don't know if I should keep my hopes up for the next two offer dates or let it go... I loved this school 😢

For what it's worth, I'm a current M1, and I got in off the wait list in June after interviewing in October and being passed over each time. So there still is hope, even if it doesn't seem like it. Hang in there!

Congrats to all of you on the Interviews.
@Mrd7889 they still have 50% of the seats left to give out, I would not worry yet.

If we don’t have the “very interested” status by now, are we goners?
