i got it in mid august. II in mid september. But like others mentioned, there is actually no logic in med school admissions
 
Does anyone know if it’s easy to find an uber at 7am in Richmond?

Just got the "MD file complete, sub committee will review" notification recently.
Hope they like me I guess?
 
"Very interested" status today. However, judging from the past few pages in this thread I'm not sure I should place much stock into this.
 
Just got rejected here today pre-II. OOS, application submitted 08/22. I got an email saying there was a portal update. Good luck to the rest of you.
 
Apparently, the next batch of acceptances won't be released until December 16th, but I remember them saying at my interview that we should be receiving a portal update within a week with a ranking of some sort.. Can somebody clarify this?

You’ll get a standard looking message after your interview until 12/16. It might not populate fully until 12/17 if it’s similar to what happened in Oct. I suggest not looking at the portal that day until the evening!

If I remember correctly, they said if you are ranked 1-3 by the committee you will receive a hold for possible acceptance later status on the portal. You could potentially get an acceptance on any one of be future dates.
 
got the very interested status this morning. What is the likelihood of this turning into an II? and is VCU rolling admissions? It's already fairly late in the game, which is why I ask

So if you get the email does that mean that there is a good chance for acceptance or does everyone get the email?
 
Just had my status updated to "very interested" like many of you it seems
 
Can anyone who has interviewed here comment on whether or not there are any standardized patient scenarios during the interview?
 
Hey guys! I was wondering- are there follow-up questions at each MMI station? As in, do we just keep talking and talking for 7 minutes, or do we bring up a few points and then it turns into a back and forth?

I got the same yesterday. I think it is like being a step below the very interested status, so not rejected but not a high chance.
 
Apologies if this came up way earlier on in the thread, but does anyone else's portal sometimes show you your application when you first login, and then after some refreshing show you the status message...? That's what mine does and I'm sort of disturbed by it haha...

I got this and subsequently received a very interested one.
 
I've had very interested status for 10-ish weeks now.

Are they looking for me to email and ask about it, or show more interest, or something? I understand the 2-3 week wait for some people but 10 weeks seems extreme.

Ah of course! The key is to send back a Very Interested Status to them!

(Sitting in silence still from a VI status on 9/30)

From looking through past year's threads, thats pretty standard. The status definitely doesn't mean you'll get an II. Just hang in there, I'll hang with ya.

So, I've been complete since 8/1 and my status just changed to the following, which is literally the exact same as it was yesterday but now without the "please do not contact the admissions office." Wondering if I now have permission to call...?

Your M.D. file is now complete. The Sub-Committee will now do a review of your application. Once this review is complete, you will receive a status update regarding your profile.
 
Has anyone called and asked about the very interested status? does anyone know if the date that you received the status has anything to do with how high up on the list of would be IIs you are? just wondering been on it since 10/23 along with everyone else 🙁
