They told us most movement occurs during January and March.

I remember them saying it's ranked through a variety of factors from your interview to your GPA/mcat. Though fit and desire to attend is a large one. Several of the out of state students I've talked to stressed the important of updates if you knew you wanted to attend WVU.

Guys just because you're on the waitlist does not mean you're not in the running! Also, didn't you guys expect this after seeing previous years' threads? Every year its the same thing "Interview couldn't have gone better, above median stats, connected well etc." and bam, WL. This school is VERY PICKY about their OOS, so I think they stockpile them all on the WL before making a decision so that they can fairly evaluate all OOS candidates throughout the cycle.

Actually happy with the waitlist. I really liked the school but it being my first interview, I was very nervous at the time and I don't think the faculty interview went very well compared to my other interviews. Just keep chugging along.

Same here, at least we can temper our expectations going in. I feel like they WL everyone OOS and then as the cycle goes on people on the WL will either withdraw for other acceptances or continue showing interest in WVU and they can get a better idea of who has the most interest in their school still, and make their OOS decisions then. Who knows tho

Hopelessly devoted to WV! Too many OOS applying for this school which has very low yield for OOS, only 1 out of 7 interviewees gets accepted.
