Just got put on pre-interview hold at this school. Anyone have any idea how much movement there is from this list? Good luck to everyone applying here!

I've heard that among the schools that do pre-interview holds, this one is one of the most like a soft-reject

Sooooooo, Dr. Berardi told us that they are having "decision meetings" on various days throughout the cycle; the first one being earlyish November (11/8?)and at which point decisions will come out after. I interviewed today and she said that not all of us would be decided upon that day. the next decision meeting day is ~dec, ~Feb, etc. Hope this helps lighten the nerves!

Did they say 11/8 is the day they are meeting or just early November?
It seems weird that they would tell early interviews 4-5 weeks, then not meet for 2 months.

I interviewed here last week and they said the committee meets to send out acceptances every 4-5 or 5-6 weeks. Not that that is the timetable to hear back. So we can hear sooner or later than the timetable. it’s possible that they haven’t met yet for the first time this season and will soon. So everyone please take a deep breath. 57% of those interviewed will b accepted eventually.

I agree we all need to be patient- but I interviewed a month ago and they told us to call if we hadn't heard a decision in 5 weeks.
It seems like different groups are getting different timelines, so no one knows when the decisions will come

would it be 57% tho? they did mention how they are interviewing more this year

57% is according to the numbers they showed during the interview day (Roughly 700 out of 1300 interviewed). They didn’t say they are changing the numbers this year but maybe they are. Doesn’t really matter but I’d b surprised if it changes too much.

Actually, 747 out of 1381 were interviewed. 707 out of the 747 interviewees were accepted.

1300 applicants were interviewed*

~700 applicants were accepted*

They told us during the interview to ignore the 95% post-II acceptance rate statistic lol

is there anyone complete around 9/12 who has heard back whether its a hold, II, or whatever?

I did miss a digit whoops!

13831 applicants
747 interviewed
707 accepted
At my interview someone asked about this and they said they reporting was inaccurate. The acceptances were correct but the amount interviewed was about 1300. She said that historically their acceptance rate is about 55-60%

That is the day they are meeting and then the decisions would come after, according to Dr. Berardi. She apparently reads through this thread so maybe she can have someone from admissions send an email to clarify this.

I hope so. I would have assumed a bunch of people were waiting to hear back around the 15th like they said and they probably got a bunch of calls/emails asking about whats going on. And it seems like people were getting different info.

I interviewed on Monday (LOVED the school) and they said we should hear 4-6 weeks and that they're currently running at about 5 weeks. I obviously didn't want to raise my hand and say "no one on SDN has heard" but I am also quite confused.

also meant to say that we were told that they meet every Thursday for 3-4 hours and decide... so I'm still unsure

A good friend of mine interviewed on Saturday and she also heard they aren't meeting until 11/8. Seems like different people are telling different interview groups different things. Something must have happened. They are human, after all lol.

I wonder what interview dates thats for. I doubt they meet every 2 months tho it could be possible.

I have it on good authority the admissions committee meets every other Thursday (i am not on it, but a friend of mine is). I obviously cannot give timelines for you all and I wish I could. The waiting really sucks, I know.

I was told 4-5 weeks after my interview. It was closer to 8 when i got a decision (this was Dec 2015).

Thanks so much for the information! Just wondering if the committee meets every other Thursday (I assume to make decisions post interview), how often do they release decisions?

I honestly have no idea how they’re doing it. Im not sure if theyre going to release in waves or what.

Anyone understand why some people complete in August/September have gotten rejections, but me being complete mid July have not had communication since then.

No one will understand this. The best thing for you to do is to call them or email them if you have any questions regarding your application. Maybe you are missing something from your application or maybe it’s just buried under 13,000 other applications.

Last cycle I was in the same boat and ended up with an II in January (didnt get a hold or anything). Best to not read into it cuz its kinda out of your control but I would consider it a good thing that you havent caught the R

Have they given a definitive date to when decisions are coming out? I have seen people say 4-5 weeks post interview, 6-8 weeks, and then people mentioning admissions saying lat oct/early nov. I really enjoyed my time at the school and really hope I can matriculate here.
