Same here... just loan offers. I emailed SFA to see if any institutional scholarships would be awarded at a later date. I’ll post whatever they tell me.

Thanks for posting this! Did you email DeAnna Fuller? She’s the one who accepted the scholarship application and it looks like she works for the school of medicine. I had corresponded with her about my application and my FAFSA.I asked if there aren’t any loans on our current financial aid offer, does that mean we did not qualify for any institutional scholarships.
Reply..... That is generally correct. However, you may want to check with your MU department as each department can have their own awards that have their own decision period and thus some of their awards may not have been awarded yet.
Looks like I need to ask the SOM financial aid.

Sweet, thanks for doing that!Yes I emailed DeAnna, she just responded and said scholarships have not been awarded yet, but should be by Friday. Here’s to hoping I get a little something. Ha ha

Accepted this morning! I am OOS and was in the top 3rd. Very excited about attending Mizzou! Sorry, I did not ask how much waitlist movement had occurred up to this point.
They called at around 8:15AM, and then sent an email directly after the call.Did they email you or call you?
Just FYI, it looks like I did receive a scholarship on Saturday which was emailed to me. It is pretty small, but it is better than nothing.
I don’t know! Maybe it’s rolling, so there might be more coming!I didn’t receive an email, so I guess I didn’t make the cut. Ha ha
I didn't receive one and was sorta surprised given my financial situation. This is just speculation, but I saw that the school of medicine lost 7.7% of funding, so maybe they just have fewer scholarships to give out ($25 million to be taken from MU departments to fund scholarships, research ). The article says some of the reallocated funds will be put towards scholarships but I think that might be referring to undergrad only scholarships.Just FYI, it looks like I did receive a scholarship on Saturday which was emailed to me. Unfortunately not, sorry. No new LORs either. They are open to (infrequent) waitlist movement inquiries, so I'd suggest calling Kevin sometime after April 30th. Like "Hey, checking in to express my continued interest and ask if there was any waitlist movement...!!!"Mizzou specifically states they do not want LOI or updates, correct? I thought I remembered that from somewhere but now I can’t find anything stating that for sure.
Thank you! That’s what I was thinking but I wanted to confirm 🙂Unfortunately not, sorry. No new LORs either. Accepted off the waitlist...so excited to be going to Mizzou! Good luck to everyone still waiting...hopefully there will be a good bit more movement after tomorrow!![]()
Congrats! What list were you on if you don't mind me asking?
Wow congratulations! IS or OOS? Also did they tell you that you were top of the 2nd third?Hey Guys,
I just wanted to let you know that I was accepted off the waitlist about 10 minutes ago. I was in the top portion of the second-third of the waitlist. I asked Kevin about the waitlist movement, and he said it was moving at a "steady pace", so I am almost certain there will be more waitlist movement today and tomorrow. Wish you all the best, and hope to see you in late July!
Sorry, I forgot to include that information. I asked Kevin about my current placement when he called me, and I am an IS applicant.Wow congratulations! IS or OOS? Also did they tell you that you were top of the 2nd third?
Ahhhh! This gives me such hope! Congrats again!Sorry, I forgot to include that information. I asked Kevin about my current placement when he called me, and I am an IS applicant.
Keep an eye out for that (573)!I’m OOS and Just received a call from a Missouri number and an email notification both at the same time. Thought it was my golden ticket. Turned out to be just a telemarketer and a spam email. Might’ve just had a small STEMI. But I’ll be alright lol. The wait continues.
I got the call from a 440 area code, which is Ohio. So, since Kevin calls people off the waitlist, that is the area code I would look out for. Also, good luck to anyone still on the waitlist.Keep an eye out for that (573)!
I received an email saying it was they got the check. Then a few days later it was cashed outHey Guys, for anyone that has already gotten into Mizzou, how were you made aware that your $100 deposit to reserve a seat was received?
Okay, so received my acceptance on April 30th, mailed my check on 5/1/19, but have not heard anything yet? Should I be worried? In addition, I checked my bank account, and it seems like the check has not been cashed out yet.I received an email saying it was they got the check. Then a few days later it was cashed out
They'll definitely notify you that they received the check via email before they cash it. It took about 4 business days for me to get the email confirming they received the check, so I wouldn't worry about it if I was you. But if you are then you can always just email admissions letting them know that you sent the checkOkay, so received my acceptance on April 30th, mailed my check on 5/1/19, but have not heard anything yet? Was wondering how accepted applicants were able to setup a myZou account? Is that something that you received an email about or something that you can do after you commit to enroll? Thanks in advance.
I am also wondering how to setup a myZou account, since I have committed to enroll at Mizzou. I will email Phillip Nelson, the Program Coordinator, and let you all know what he says. Also, for anyone still on the waitlist, I am praying that you get an acceptance offer. Was wondering how accepted applicants were able to setup a myZou account? Unfortunately, I am not sure if there has been anymore waitlist movement. I can tell you that there are 99 members within the Facebook group for Mizzou 2023, and taking out the moderators, that brings it down to 96 people. Although, I do not think this number is a great indicator, especially since not everyone has a Facebook account. I would highly advise that you call Mizzou Admissions, since they would be more than willing to give you an update on the situation. From personal experience, I know that being on a waitlist can be harrowing, so I wish you the best and hope you receive a call soon.Anyone know if there has been any more waitlist movement?
Thank you so much! I was trying to get myself to wait another week before calling but I might go ahead and do it just to get an idea if they anticipate more movement at this pointUnfortunately, I am not sure if there has been anymore waitlist movement. I received an email today with instructions on how to setup an account.I haven't heard anything from Mizzou about this either and I'm curious. I did reserve my seat, got confirmation, and a bunch of other emails but nothing about MyZou
Okay, cool. So I emailed Phillip Nelson, the program coordinator for the medical program at Mizzou, and he told me that the registrar has to first register you as a student before you receive account information. He stated that usually takes a couple of days.I received an email today with instructions on how to setup an account.
Did you find out about any waitlist movement? Crossing my fingers for everyone still waiting on a call!Thank you so much! I was trying to get myself to wait another week before calling but I might go ahead and do it just to get an idea if they anticipate more movement at this point
I’ve tried calling 3 times and it always goes to voicemail so I haven’t been able to get a hold of anyone yet unfortunatelyDid you find out about any waitlist movement? Crossing my fingers for everyone still waiting on a call!
Just as a heads up, I would advise that you call around 8:30 AM CDT, as this is when I am able to reach the Mizzou admissions office. In terms of the waitlist movement, there have been about 4 people added to the facebook group within the past week or so. I wish you the best with regards to the waitlist movement and hope you receive a call soon.I’ve tried calling 3 times and it always goes to voicemail so I haven’t been able to get a hold of anyone yet unfortunately

Just talked to Kevin. He said there hasn’t been any waitlist movement in the past 2 weeks but he has no way to know if there will be more. He told me being IS there is definitely the possibility for an acceptance, but obviously no guarantees. He said the CTE deadline is July 1 but it’s not exactly firm, as he said they have no idea who is holding multiple acceptances or how to enforce the new policy. Hope this helps!
