From their website: "The Wayne State University School of Medicine does not participate in rolling admissions, and interview spots do not fill up before the application deadline."

Their AMCAS application deadline is December 31st btw...

Did everyone get a confirmation email saying that their application was complete? I still have not 🙁. I'm worried that i'm secretly not complete. I talked to a guy on the phone and he said that the school doesn't send confirmation emails...

I think if you have SS, the email shouldn't matter. But just so everyone knows, this is what it says:

"Dear ___,

Thank you for your interest in Wayne State University School of Medicine. We have received and processed your secondary application and the committee will begin review of your materials. The process will continue as we move through our process and may take some time before additional decisions are made. "

One was closely watching Wayne State thread on SDN forum. Second was waiting for my status to change on Wayne State portal. Third is refreshing my email.

Last year there were people who said they received interview invites on the portal but no email, so I would suggest you check the portal fairly regularly.

How do they go from 0 to 600 II in 2 weeks? I've talked with interviewers and they said the goal is 1200-1500 interviews but admitted that its highly unrealistic and they don't have the resources for that kind of volume.

I got the portal update yesterday but received the email at 3am this morning!
LM 69, OOS, completed 8/14

I emailed them regarding the complete email. they said as long as you got the Med School in for Review (MR). Also, it seems like emails for II get sent at 3am for everyone. two friends of mine received it 3am too.
