I'm also gearing up to reapply, but there's also so much time between now and the AMCAS launch. I'd put most of your stuff together and just be ready for when it opens May 31st since most waitlist movement should/seems to happen before then.

Agreed. Also, I hate to be a Debby Downer but also keep in mind that a lot of schools' (I also think EVMS falls into this boat) CTE deadlines aren't until July, meaning that waitlist movement could plausibly happen during the new application cycle --> more reasons to have everything ready to go and submitted

Exactly! EVMS CTE's 7/18.

I believe AMCAS transmission date is pushed back too (July 10th I think), so might work out for this cycle 🙂

I’m familiar with the CTE date but what is the AMCAS transmissions date and it’s significance? Sorry if it is a dumb question.

More important for those planning to reapply. Because apps don’t get transmitted as early, you might be able to save money as secondaries won’t roll in until after July 10th. If I were reapplying, I’d probably wait until after the CTE date before submitting secondaries to avoid giving these schools more money. That’s just me though, I’m sure others are going to jump right in, but I don’t have that luxury. (First gen student who basically blew my savings on this app cycle, no support from family).

To my understanding, there is some movement; but based on past threads, it tends to be top tier in general. But also keep in mind the waitlist is based on demographic matching so who knows XD

Since they want it all official, I'm guessing they might use it for something. I'll probably send one by the end of tomorrow. LOI that is.

Does EVMS reject students post-interview? Thought I saw somewhere that you’re either accepted or
WL post-interview

Rejections do happen and bottom third positions exist; keep in mind that sdn is a tiiiiinnnnyyyy subset of those who interviewed. Also not sure if people were comfortable enough to admit to strangers that they got rejected or placed in bottom third.

Does anyone know how big the waitlist is per tier or overall? From that post-II google spreadsheet, OOS interviewed applicants last year had around a 70% chance of getting in. Idk how useful it is to speculate what my chances are to get off the middle tier waitlist, but just trying to find some light at the end of the tunnel since I'm currently on two waitlists. Thanks in advance for anyone who has this info.

there is most definitely light for us OOS folks. I believe there are approximately 100 per tier. This number has been thrown around in last years thread as well.
