i got the acceptance call around 5 pm from a 517 number! i interviewed on the 16th in GR. he said we would be getting an email with some more information in the coming days. hoping for the best for everyone else waiting! go green !!

I GOT THE CALL TOO!!! i knew we could do it!

AHHHHH I just got the call at 5:45PM!!!! I saw a number from Lansing was calling me and almost dropped my phone trying to answer. As a reapplicant who thought they'd never have a chance a year and a half ago, I feel such a heavy weight lifted off my shoulders and honestly am still in shock. Best of luck to everyone else who applied/interviewed, I hope you'll all get great news in the coming future!

(For those who want to know, IS interviewed 9/24, LM >70)

Congrats! I’m glad to hear that 🙂

The unofficial email right? I got an unofficial email the day after the call on 10/2 saying that I'll be receiving the official acceptance email on the 15th.
OH yeah it probably was, but I didn't realize it wasn't an official email. I was wondering why it was so casual.

Oof still waiting to hear from here, I'm a little surprised because they did tell us that we would hear on the 15th...fingers still crossed! Congrats to all accepted

Dang got placed as an alternate :/
Congrats to everyone that got in.

Completed 7/18, IS with good stats and ECs. I thought I would for sure hear something by now, but nothing. This was one of my top choices too :/ Can i assume it's a silent R? Btw congrats to everyone who got in!

Hi All. I have an upcoming interview in EL. Can someone who has already interviewed share their overall experience? Stress level? This will be my first MMI.

Also, I plan to attend the mixer (in GR). Does anyone have any feedback on that? Thanks!

I interviewed in GR. Honestly, the experience overall was great! They do a really great job of making you feel comfortable and explaining the curriculum. The faculty was super nice and eased us into the interview. The MMI was nervewracking at first, but once you get in the swing of it it's kind fun! honestly just be yourself and super friendly and you will do great!

I was complete 7/12 and called them today, apparently something was up with my portal so it didn't show me that my application is on hold. You can call them and they'll make sure you didn't miss any communication from them!

For those accepted, do we need to do anything with the dean certification form yet? Or do we wait until after the criminal background check goes through?

I've started working on them since my schools horrendous with getting stuff done.
So like you've sent them to your undergrad? I'm a little confused about it, like do we just email the form to our undergrad's office and hope they know what to do with them?

I printed the form out and signed it. Scanned and emailed it to my undergrad with a sentence or two on what needs to be done.

I called them today and told them I was worried I might have missed a communication with them, without checking my application they told me I haven't missed anything and that I just need to wait. 😕😡

They didnt update my status to hold until last week and I was complete on 7/23. We didn't pay all that money just to get left on read!!

Do you guys know if hold is basically a silent rejection or if people actually end up getting interviews? I just wanna have realistic expectations

May have already been discussed, but anyone have any idea of the post-interview acceptance rate? Thanks!

For any accepted students, here's a Facebook page to welcome you to MSUCHM!

Next decision date is this Wednesday, should all September interviewees here back by then? 😳

Hey Everyone. For those of you that attended the pre-II mixer, what was the attire like? I was thinking something less formal that the interview itself?

Does MSU accept application updates? Ive been forwarded for preliminary review since 8/21 and have a significant app update i'd love to let them know about!

I couldn't see on their website and there's no space for it on the portal but I feel like most schools do. Email them maybe?

I found this on their website under their Application Process:

“If you are placed on the Alternate list, your file will remain under consideration for acceptance until we notify you of a change in your status. Alternates may add additional information (i.e., additional grades, new clinical, volunteer, and/or research experiences, additional letters of evaluation, letter of continued interest) to their file at any time. This is the only instance in which additional information will be accepted.”

What is the general turn around time from an interview to a decision? I interviewed on 10/25 and was wondering when I should actually worry if I haven't heard back. 🙂

Anybody who interviewed in September still not hear back? Thinking about calling

For those that interviewed/have already filled out the paperwork; which grade did you put on the coursework model? The grade on your transcript or the AMCAS grade?
