2019-2020 Michigan

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If I remember correctly from last year, Michigan sends out batches of acceptances on the 15th of each month, not necessarily on Mondays. But this was only an outside observation from last year, I was (sadly) not one of the lucky recipients of said acceptances.

Hello friends, is this the HIPAA certificate we have to upload? I can't find it through any of the links they gave us and only found this one after googling "University of Michigan HIPAA"

Yep, that looks like it! You can also find it on the docs they sent you if you scroll to the very, very bottom of the powerpoint about HIPPA - it's on the last page, iirc. Good luck!!

were these docs sent in an email? Did you receive it after finishing the MIC? Just wondering, because I have not gotten any docs and when I click on the HIPAA link on their "Interview Day" website, it takes me to the government website!

IIRC, if you go to your application portal, they were in the same area as the checklist! I could be wrong tho

Does anyone know what the pre-interview activity attire is (dinner, walking around Ann Arbor)? thanks 🙂

I submitted my secondary in August. Is it safe to assume no interview if I haven't heard back yet? LM 77
Really love UMich and would love to hear back.

Complete mid July and still haven't heard back. I hope for both of us that we are just in hold and will be interviewing soon 🙂

Hi! Does anyone know if University of Michigan is receptive to ITA e-mails?

According to Carol "You can send us any updates through this link on the portal, but they really don't do anything." So.....Imma say send them, but they won't help.

Has anyone else sent updates via the portal? (Pre-II)
When I upload the file it just kinda disappears and I can't find anything confirming if it did or didn't upload

Click on "View Checklist" and scroll down, after the letters of recommendation you will see it under additional uploads. I don't remember if it was immediate or if it took a day or two.

MSTP pre-II rejection today complete mid-July, and was hoping I’d make it through another R wave, but I guess not. Good luck to everybody still in the running!!

Whats that? Didnt u get an A?

No. I had silence after my interview until today. It’s basically a waitlist even though they say it isn’t.

“The Admissions Executive Committee has thoughtfully reviewed your entire file and has given you a Deferred Decision. This decision is not an offer of admission, waitlist, nor is it a rejection. They will review other candidates' files before they make a decision on yours, which will take place no later than mid-March."

Wonder what their definition of a waitlist is..

Well is sounds like you would be way ahead of any WL people and still have chance for outright Acceptance. Best of luck.

Well I guess with a waitlist you could hear back anytime up until the start of classes, whereas with a deferral they’re promising to get back to you by mid March

It might be equivalent to other schools saying “we don’t know yet but we want to see other applicants first”, though most schools stay silent.

They should call it Limbo status. Basically I’m in Limbo until the end of March, like that guy in Inception...

Cant do that any more with all the traffic rules if someone has an admission.

Does anyone know if any current U of M undergrads have received II's yet?
