Do they send out all acceptances at the same time? Should i be worried if some people who interviewed the same day as me have already heard back when I haven't?

Interviewed 01/09 and got the accepted student checklist! No official email/call yet
I interviewed on 1/14 and checked the portal late last night and had the accepted check list just one day after the interview. I called today to make sure it is real, and they confirmed I am accepted! So happy this feels surreal.

when i clicked "matriculation agreement" it says "your information is currently being processed. Please check back tomorrow." is this normal? should i call?

Got accepted today! First A of the cycle. Interviewed 1/9, LM 69.

Didn't receive any email, just found out on the portal after seeing everyone's acceptance posts who interviewed the same day.

hi-five!

Does anyone know the deadline for the deposit? I'm think they said 30 days after receiving the email, but I can't remember.

Also is there a deadline for filling out the accepted student checklist?

Edit: it's 30 days. The email for acceptance also just came in today (1 day after showing up on the portal).

FIRST ACCEPTANCE!!
Turned in primary in November and secondary in December
II last Thursday, interviewed 01-14. I called yesterday when I saw the acceptance checklist and they confirmed I got accepted.
Just got the acceptance email 30 mins ago! (I totally thought I bombed the interview! The 2 interviewers were funny but I thought I got grilled so hard >__<)

Can't believe just 2 weeks ago I was considering reapplying/changing career 🙂!!

II, complete 01/07. Very grateful for the quick turnaround. Dates only available in April. Does anyone know how many students they interview vs accept?

Hey all, current third year here. Feel free to tag me in any questions. I'll do my best to check and respond.
Hello, I was recently accepted and had some questions about clinical sites. I believe I was told at the interview that you rank your clinical sites and they are then put into an algorithm. Is this correct?

is there an accepted students facebook page someone can link here? thx! also anyone know the most popular apartment that most people in med school live at thats convenient and close and pet friendly...low key wanna get a dog

I’ve heard it’s first come first serve after presentations on the sites. Trades are possible afterwards.

I noticed the orientation and start dates listed on the academic calendar online are different than on the paper they gave us at the interview. Anyone have an idea of which we should rely on being correct?

Anybody (especially current students) know if it is reasonable to live in downtown phoenix and make the commute everyday? Judging from online it looks like it would be a 25-30 min drive each way.

I'm on the II waitlist but I live in AZ so I can comment on this. I drove about 20 minutes every day for undergrad (to ASU), it's doable, but gets old fast. I guess it really depends how often you're going to be on campus (I don't have that info), but I prob wouldn't recommend. It's a discouragement to going to campus multiple times per day because of the commute, it's costly because of gas, and you're going to be fighting traffic coming in and out, especially if you live in downtown, which will make your drive much worse. AZCOM sits in a suburb of Phoenix, so there's going to be cheaper living areas nearby anyway most likely.

The drive is 1 hr at 5pm per google maps

Oh wow thanks for your insight. Definitely some food for thought! Hope you get off the waitlist soon!

Recently interviewed at CCOM, currently have an A at AZCOM. Does anyone know if AZCOM's preclinical curriculum organizes lectures weekly by symptom like CCOM does rather than systems based lectures? Thanks in advance.

I have a friend who is currently in the Dental Program at AZCOM. I stayed with him for interview and went down for his white coat ceremony. He lives in apartments directly across from campus, the complex is insanely nice. Has a resort style pool, big spacious rooms, on site gym and plenty of parking. It also walking distance to campus and only a few minute drive to the stores and the local gym. The rent is super cheap, I would look into those apartments first before trekking from the city imo.

We dont have weekly symptoms. Most of the lectures are organized by system or topic. For example, anatomy is regions based so you learn everything on the back, then the thorax, abdomen ect.

What is the name of the apartment complex? I’m looking around but I think being close to campus is what I want more than anything.

It’s called San Lagos and it’s in Glendale
Honestly, San lagos is probably a top 10 most expensive apartment complex in Glendale. Its nice but if you're going to rely on student loans I would recommend looking around at other places. The traffic within Glendale is fine (ie mostly nonexistent) and it's easy to live within 15-20 minutes. Most of the students that live at san lagos seem to be relying on their parents or are getting quite a bit of help. The rent is close to 1500 for a 1 bedroom and thats frankly not possible off just the student loan budget so you'll be stressing yourself more than necessary. That said, if your parents are helping, you have lots of savings, or you find a roommate and still want to pay about $800 (from what I've heard from classmates) then it is a very nice place to live.

First off, Love the name lol.

Secondly, I think you've gotten some misinformation. My friend who lives there, lives in an apartment with two roommates and pays 570 a month in rent for his own bedroom. That is more than reasonable in my eyes especially when you are a 2 minute walk from campus, down the street from the gym, 5 minutes away from groccery stores, not to mention the sports bar right next door incase you're feeling frisky one night. Also to have the added huge resort style pool, jacuzzi and workout space where if you want to go to just walk on the treadmill and study. idk but in my opinion, 570 is a steal for all those perks.

I am not attending this school next year, nor do i know what the real estate is like outside of the complex and what those prices are like but it seems pretty good to me price wise for those who want all those convenience. Thats just me though.
