So you think they review our applications and think - yeah this person is interesting- we will review them later?

yes, this is common practice, it's called being on hold. note throwaway2020md wrote "internally put on hold." some schools will outright tell you that you've been put on hold, while others will just do it silently/internally (hence "all speculation")

Should we be expecting a wave of acceptances next week? Based on last year’s thread

It's been the third Monday of November for the past two years, so I'd give it a pretty good chance on the 18th!

.........I've definitely been reading those old threads too much lately......:depressed:

Does anyone know what interview dates might get acceptances?

It seemed like most were from October, but there was someone from August last year too! In even later months, they were still accepting people from September - so it could really be anything.

I've really gotta get off those old threads lol 😳

Ok what about 3 years ago tho? Let’s not get sloppy, people!

Haha, about that...😳
I actually read that one too!! If I understood it correctly, they didn't have the mid-November acceptances back then, or at least nobody reported any.

I gotta STOPPPPP lol B9QdBQ2IgAAvzZJ.jpgSomebody PLS take my internet, I beg of u

Wowww leaving out inconvenient data just so you can get published? You’ll make a great scientist!

I wait and wait and watch my phone
(A choice that I do not condone)
And hope a call will set me free
From all my wretched misery

But Papi Pritzker sends no call
No email—no, nothing at all
Silent and still my phone just lies
And plays tricks on neurotic eyes

But still, I am so glad to see
Other pre-meds are here with me
As we all scroll through this here thread
And tremble in unyielding dread

But yield not, pre-meds! Do not fret!
The day is far from over yet
And so I read this thread and brace
And watch my cell phone with this face

Anyone else just staring at their phones at work/school?

I’m at an interview right now and during my interview I got two phone calls in a row and then a voice mail. Thankfully it was on vibrate but I started internally freaking out. Pulled my phone out in the bathroom and opened my voicemail only to be greeted with “the warranty on your vehicle is about to expire.......”

I don’t even have a car.

does anyone know what the typical schedule for a student here looks like? I can't find like a curriculum schedule on their website, only description of their courses. Are classes usually 8-12pm like a lot of other schools or all day? thanks! any insight from people who have interviewed would be really appreciated! 🙂

Good chance tomorrow’s the day guys! Last year, A’s came out October 15th and November 19th. The year before was October 14th and November 18th

I believe I was told that the next round of A’s would not be until December.
Interviewed in late October and that’s when they said was the earliest we could expect to hear back. It could be that those who interviewed way earlier could hear back in November, but I feel like the verbiage was that “the next batch will come in December” regardless of interview date.
