I am so sorry man! It certainly does not feel good getting the big R. Maybe email them and ask for some feedback? Do you mind sharing your stats? Just wondering.

Note that both Rs are 7/29 completion dates. Are there earlier complete date apps who have been rejected or heard anything once they are complete?

This is something that I am confused on lol
I think there are two types of diversity emails that the university has sent out: One that says thank you for applying. The second email that states stuff like : " Obviously we are impressed with your credentials and your sincere interest....
Interviews are around the corner and we are excited by your chances of procuring one of our coveted interview slots."

I got the second one after I submitted the secondary for the other campus (KCOM). I don't know if it's something to get happy about or if it's something they send to everyone

Same. I am confused as well since I got the second email as well. I hope that's a good thing haha lol
 
I did not get a diversity email either, and I sent in my KCOM secondary June 22.
 
I’m assuming they send the diversity email to applicants who are URM, based on race, SES, etc

Anyone have the link to the DO Application Tracker (excel spreadsheet)? I have the MD one can't seem to find the DO one anywhere on here.
 
I never received an e-mail that my application is complete, but everything is checked and marked complete in the system. No diversity e-mail either. Hope that's not a bad sign because I'd love to attend SOMA.
 
Feel like they're going for the shotgun approach to sending the diversity email. Haven't gotten it either, but im also ORM.
 
Got a rejection here. Disappointed because I was really interested in the school but good luck everyone!
 
They emailed me saying they received my secondary but they need to wait on my MCAT score from my exam I'm taking tomorrow. Did anyone else get a message like this? It was kind of specific...

I got a specific email like that too. All my thinks are checked except the MCAT score and Complete box. I think they're putting us in a pile for further review after scores are received. Not a bad thing!

bro, what makes you think I know?! 🤣It could've been a soft review, or it could've been holistic. I have a LoR from an alumnus from there, so I'm HOPING that they want to consider me more thoroughly and just have to wait for a score first.
 
+1 for the diversity email. ORM. Submitted primary June 23rd, App completed and ready for review on July 10, received the diversity email the same day.

Does anyone know if they reject pre secondary or post secondary?
 
do you know if they actually call your activity you placed for verification?
 
if we have not shadowed a DO how do we explain that and go about the Q
 
Do they email you for IIs or are we supposed to check the portal?
 
Just applied her with stats on the lower end but my application and secondary responses strongly align with their mission. Wondering if anyone knows how strongly the supplemental application affects our chances?
 
Why is this school's secondary feel like I'm filling out another AACOMAS application?

How strict are they on getting a letter from a physician I've shadowed for 20+ hours? Every doc I've ever shadowed has always limited it to two shadowing sessions/10 hours. I've an primary care MD that I shadowed for 10 hours and a DO anesthesiologist that I shadowed for 10 hours. Should I just submit one of theirs? Or do I just withdraw?
 
I submitted my secondary 6/23 and was completed 6/29.
I have yet to hear back from them.

I haven't e-mailed them either, thinking of finally e-mailing them now.
This is one of my top choices, I really hope to hear back from them.

Update:
I just e-mailed them today and received quite a prompt response from their admission committee. They stated that it may take 8-12 weeks to review applications and that they would contact us once a decision has been made.

I'm about 8 weeks into the review process.

It doesn't matter my letter is from an MD ophtho
