did anyone who interviewed in mid feb hear back yday?

I believe the latest date reported here was someone who interviewed on 02/08.

I interviewed on 02/12 and haven’t heard anything yet either.

for anyone who is HPWL, what are you writing in your email to staff member they listed? a full-on letter of interest or just a short statement accepting your place on the waitlist?

Does anyone have any insight on if people get pulled off of the normal WL? It’s feeling a bit like a soft R right about now especially with the HPWL... trying to stay optimistic but ugh.

Last year the same amount of people reported getting pulled off the "hpwl" as the regular wl. Hpwl just heard back sooner.

Hope you’re right, but are you sure? Skimmed last year’s thread and it looks like mostly everyone who reported an A in May was on the HPWL/“rolling admission”

MSAR says 75 out of 200 are admitted off the WL. It seems like Einstein has pretty good WL movement but are most of these from the HPWL?

I also found it interesting that during the 2018-19 cycle, the admissions office said there was no HPWL, according to one poster.

Hey! This was pretty confusing my year too. I am pretty sure you need to fill out the FAQ either way, unless things have changed. Here is the link to the FAQ

If you really don't want to fill this out, definitely email student financial aid at [email protected] just to make sure that's ok - they can answer any questions. They are usually really responsive.

I emailed, they said no need to fill out FAQ to be considered for merit aid.

It's just the interview and then an optional session with students at 4ish

well, they are interviewing all the way into April so you have to imagine that some people will hear back that late.

No, and someone above said you don't even have to submit the FAQ. I submitted my FAQ on Thursday and received the email yesterday so I would be surprised if they even looked at it considering the turnaround time.

Not sure, but the letter I got says "scholarships are awarded to students who have most clearly demonstrated the qualities of empathy, maturity, compassionate leadership and responsible judgment, and in recognition of academic and personal achievements, as well as dedication to community."

They said on the financial aid call that merit aid is rolling. You can get merit aid up until matriculation because people turn it down and go elsewhere

I'll share my stats, but want to acknowledge that the Dean of Admissions said that they consider community commitment (I have a pretty strong distaste for the word s*****e) not just stats.

ORM 519 3.8x, spent significant time over the past three years living and working in marginalized communities, rural and urban.
